Rihanna’s Last Girl On Earth Tour featuring Key$ha, Madison Square Garden show in NYC on August 12th is officially sold out. Tickets went on sale a few days ago and earlier today (April 11) Z100 Radio station in NYC announced that the concert was sold out. The tickets were going for $238-$1169. If I am not mistaking Mary J Blige, Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Alicia Keys and 50 Cent are the only African-American artists to sell out MSG since Puff Daddy No Way Out Tour back in 1997. Back in 2003, Jay-Z opened back up MSG for Hip-Hop and R&B with his Fade To Black concert. MSG is one of the most popular arenas to perform at in the USA.

Last night Chi-Town emcee Lupe Fiasco Steppin Laser Tour made a stop in NYC. Lupe and special guest B.O.B performed at the Fillmore Auditorium. During Lupe’s set, he spits an acapella freestyle exceeding over nine minutes.
In related Lupe news, the Atlantic Records recording artist is gearing up to release his forthcoming LP Lasers, which is rumored to be his last album. The album is slated for a 2010 release but there is no official release date as of now.
In my opinion Lupe is one of the last real emcee’s in the industry. Even though he sold gold albums, I still think he’s underrated and doesn’t get the credit that he deserve.
There is an hip-hop magazine, and I will not say the name, that didn’t let Lupe get the cover because of his style of music and he’s a skateboarder. I think that’s so lame.
(Props to Dave aka Dap from BK for filling me in with the Lupe News)
Congrats Lupe on all of your accomplishments and much success with all your future endeavors.
Bleek has always been a dope artists and I am a fan of his. I been riding with Bleek since Coming Of Age. Bleek is in the studio working on his forthcoming LP The Process, dropping this summer via Get Low, Mass Appeal, E-1. The album is executive produce by Big Homie Jay-Z. (Shout-out to the homie Bleek. Let me interview you).
I am not sure if Bleek will remember this or not but we met in Philly back in 2004, the day of the Jay-Z & Friends Tour and Bleek gave me two front row tickets.
Speaking of tours, the real reason why Jim Jones and Cam’ron doesn’t like Jay-Z and Bleek is because Dipset wanted their own set on Jay-Z tour and Jay-Z told them to their face, “If you want your own set go on your on tour.” Bleek approached Cam and Jim at the video shoot and they both said, “It’s nothing B, I’m just trying to get money.”
