Earlier today, G-Unit Records announced that they signed a distribution deal with EMI. The first project off of the indie label will be Lloyd Banks forthcoming LP Hunger For More 2, in stores and online November 23rd.
In a statement Banks said, “It’s refreshing to see the EMI staff excited about my project, they have the passion and energy I haven’t seen in while”.
Yayo said, “The EMI staff is creative and willing to think outside the box. They are fans of my music and career. I’m looking forward to marketing and promoting my upcoming album with them.”
I recall a few years back, (February 1, 2007) 50 Cent said “artists goes to indie labels when the majors don’t want to invest in them anymore.” I guess the majors don’t want to invest in G-Unit anymore. Listen to the audio of 50 Cent and Cam’ron arguing on Hot 97 FM in NYC.
