On The Set: Wiz Khalifa “Roll Up” Co-Starring Cassie Video Shoot

The people over at Rap-Up was on the set of Wiz Khalifa’s video shoot for “Roll Up” co-starring Cassie. The video was shot in Venice Beach, California and directed by Jake Davis. On the set, Wiz and Cassie got a little cozy as they walked around and hug on the beach.“Roll Up” is the official second single from Wiz debut album Rolling Papers, due in stores and online March 29.

The Atlantic Records recording artist had some great things to say about cassie. “She’s really, really dope in the video. Just her movement and her following, I felt like it’s just real positive and it matches what we represent. For the type of chick that we were representing, like a really bossy chick, a chick who has some stuff going, it felt like Cassie was perfect for it.”

In related Wiz news, After 18 weeks on the charts, Wiz’s hit, “Black & Yellow” tops the Billboard Hot 100.

According to the NY Post, Kanye West and his big brother Jay-Z took over an entire floor at the Mercer Hotel in New York City to record their upcoming album Watch The Throne. Below is how the NY Post is reporting the story.

Kanye West and Jay-Z have been recording together in high style at the Mercer Hotel this week. The artists have been working together on an album, Watch The Throne, to be released in the summer. A spy reports, “They took over at least one whole floor and moved in their equipment, which may have annoyed some of the guests.” Of working with West, Jay-Z recently said, “This is another level of recording . . . really, he’s like a brother to me — I’ve seen him from the beginning to where he is now . . . how he’s growing as a producer and as an artist, for me, on another level, it’s enjoyable.” Reps for the artists and for the hotel didn’t get back to us.
