Drake IS NOT Leaving Young Money For Jay-Z’s Roc Nation

Earlier today, gossip site Mediatakeout published a story claiming that Drake is in the process of leaving Young Money Cash Money Billionaire to join Jay-Z’s Roc Nation imprint. Just like 95% of the stories published on MTO, it was 100% false. My people over at XXLMag.com caught up with Drake’s publicist and below is what his publicist had to say:

Drake is signed to Aspire/Young Money/Cash Money and has no plans to leave,” the YMCMB rapper publicist wrote to XXL in an email.

Drizzy, Weezy, Birdman, Nicki Minaj and the entire Cash Money family are currently in L.A. for this Sunday’s Grammy Awards. Drake is nominated for four trophies including: “Best New Artist,” “Best Rap Album” for Thank Me Later, “Best Rap Solo Performance” for “Over” and “Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group” for “Fancy.” He is also set to peform at the ceremony with Rihanna.”

In related Drake news, he’s in the studio working on his new album Take Care, dropping sometime this year.

Bruno Mars, Wiz Khalifa & B.o.B. Are Gracing The Cover Of Vibe

Bruno Mars, Wiz Khalifa and B.o.B. are gracing the February/March issue of Vibe magazine. Also, T.I. wife Tiny, Raekwon, Ja Rule and Martin Lawrence are featured in this issue. Read some quotes from their interview below.

WIZ KHALIFA:

Potheads and hippies, we flock. We’re peaceful as hell. You don’t hear about my concerts getting shot up or people getting beat up because they was too high and turned into a weed monster.

BRUNO MARS:

I’m a fan of young Elvis. And I’m a fan of the story, how he freaked out white America by doing this Black rock’n’roll. He would go onstage shaking his hips, and people were freaking out. They said, “You can’t film him from the waist down.” To me, that’s fucking awesome.

B.o.B:

My loyalty is not to any corporation, my loyalty is to the music. That doesn’t mean that I don’t work with corporations, it doesn’t mean that I don’t sell music–it just means that first I’m an artist regardless of anything.

The February/March issue of Vibe will be on news stands Feb 22nd

Dope Music: Meek Millz “You Be Killin Em” (Freestyle)

Philadelphia’s rapper Meek Millz took at stab at Fab’s “You Be Killin Em.” On this track Meek was on his Philly s**t; rapping about designer clothes, females, cars and the street life. Meek went in on this track; I f**k with it. Meek is a dope artist and I support him. I want to see Meek at the top in the next few years. Listen to the track below.
