Carmelo Anthony and his wife La La Vazquez-Anthony are making headlines this week. This past Monday, it was announced that Melo signed a three-year contract with the New York Knicks for $65 million dollars. Earlier today, Wednesday (February 23), it was announced that Melo and La La will be returning to VH1 with La La’s Full Court Life. The new series is scheduled to premiere this August.
The productions for the show began filming last month and will pick up where La La’s Full Court Wedding left off. The show will be about La La’s life, as a wife, mother, dealing with parenting issues, and juggling her busy acting and television-show hosting career. Also, the show will be preparing Melo’s moved back to his hometown NYC. VH1 confirmed that there will be appearances from La La’s famous friends, including 50 Cent, Kelly Rowland, Trina, Serena Williams and Ciara.
Jeff Olde, EVP of Original Programming and Productions at VH1 said:
“Viewers connect with La La because despite the fairy tale wedding and NBA star husband, she is a real, down to Earth, hardworking woman who stays true to herself. The best thing about the new series is that while pursuing and realizing her dreams, La La gets to take us back to her home in New York, where her story began.”
