Happy One-Year Anniversary YoDonBleekRaps

Yesterday Thursday (March 10) was the one year anniversary for YoDonBleekRaps. I will like to personally thank each and every one of you guys for viewing my blog, I really appreciate it.  Without you guys, this blog wouldn’t be as big as it is. I really appreciate all of the support, it really means a lot to me. Growing up, I always wanted to be a journalist and write for XXLThe Source and Vibe magazines, but I wasn’t to sure if my dream would ever come true. I knew if I work hard at it, there will be a possibility that I can achieve my dream and I did. Now I have an article published in the May 2010 issue of XXL magazine. Being a Journalist/Blogger and Music Manager, are just three of my smallest dreams.  My biggest two dreams were to graduated from college and to let my voice be heard. On May 17, 2010, I graduated from Rutgers University with a B.A. in Journalism and Media Studies, with a minor in Africana Studies. By starting this blog, it helped me let my voice be heard and I touched so many Peoples around the world. I NEVER knew that I will be an inspiration to people all the way in Jamaica. This internet thing is unbelievable. It gave me the opportunity to touch others, saved young Blacks and Latinos males from selling drugs and joining gangs.  When I first started this blog a year ago, I was a senior in college and was lost mentally. I was dealing with a lot of stress because my oldest brother and best friend both were murdered.  I used writing to express my true thoughts and feelings.

Dope Music: Jim Jones “Everybody Jones”

New York’s DJ Funk Flex recently premiered Jim Jones  new song “Everybody Jones,” which is the next single off of his upcoming album Capo, in stores and online this April. The beat is dope and Jones’ did alright on this track. I can see this song getting a lot of airplay in the clubs in NYC. I hope there is a “Everybody Jones” dance dropping next. Listen to the track below:

Everyday I stay splashy like it’s Easter, that’s why they say I’m something like a fashionista.”
