Over this past Labor Day weekend, Lil Wayne performed in Mountain View, California for his “I Am Music 2” tour. Weezy took the stage at the Shoreline Amphitheater. The tour also feature Rick Ross; Lloyd and Far East Movement are performing as opening acts on the tour. The New Orleans native recently released his forthcoming LP Tha Carter IV on August 29. The standard edition has a total of 15 tracks including the lead single “6 Foot 7 Foot” Ft. Cory Gunz, “John” Ft. Rick Ross, “How to Love,” and “She Will” Ft. Drake. The deluxe edition contains three additional songs. The disc has other collaborations from T-Pain, Bun B, Nas, Shyne, and Busta Rhymes. Tomorrow Wednesday (September 7), Weezy will be performing at the Qwest Arena in Omaha, Nebraska.
Last week, I reported that Tha Carter IV is projected to sell 700-850k in the first week. Later reports stated that Weezy is close to bringing in a million copies in the first week. HitsDailyDouble.com reports, “Weezy has his sights set on 1m as his Cash Money/Universal Republic Tha Carter IV shows no signs of slowing down.” Weezy is looking at 922-975k, with the Labor Day holiday approaching, Weezy can sell up to 1 million in the opening week.
