According to Reflector.com, yesterday Wednesday (September 7), drug charges were dropped against Wiz Khalifa because the charges were in error at the time of his arrest, the district attorney said Wednesday. The charges stem from an arrest back in November 2010 when Khalifa performed at ECU. He was charged with trafficking marijuana, maintaining a place for sale of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
ECU police seized a quantity of marijuana from his tour bus following the performance. District Attorney Clark Everett determined that the amount of marijuana seized on the bus did not exceed the 10-pound threshold for a trafficking charge.
All charges against the rapper and six others with him were dismissed when three of the men admitted the marijuana was theirs and pleaded guilty during an Aug. 11 hearing to misdemeanor possession, Everett said. Each of the three paid a $1,000 fine and court costs.
