New Music: T.I. To Drop New Track This Monday Featuring Big K.R.I.T.

Platinum-selling rapper T.I. is expected to be release from an Atlanta halfway house next Thursday, September 29. This Monday the King of the South will be releasing a new song featuring Big K.R.I.T.

The record that [T.I.’s] dropping next week features Big K.R.I.T. on it,” Drama revealed to XXL. “K.R.I.T. produced it.”

Drama also said that T.I. recorded over 12 songs since being released from prison two weeks ago.

Bascially when he’s in the halfway house he’s allowed to still work,” Dram explained. “So he’s been in the studio working. You know I was in there the other day, by the second day that I went in I had already heard like 13, 14 songs; new songs. Pharrell came the other day when I was in there. He dropped off a couple new joints. He already sent something the day before. That was done.”

***RUMOR ALERT*** Jadakiss Signing To Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group? [With Video]

As I post this story at 6:27 pm est, Rick Ross is in New York City with Jadakiss, on the set of Style P “Harsh” video shoot. I’m hearing that Jadakiss kept shouting out “MMG,” which stands for Maybach Music Group. It’s rumored that Rick Ross was working on a contractual agreement with Def Jam to bring Jadakiss over to MMG/Warner Bros Records. I am not sure if the contract has been finalized or not, but I do know Jada and Ross both talked about bringing Kiss over to MMG. Watch the video here.

Story developing, stay tuned.

Odd Future: Frank Ocean Talks Working With Jay-Z, Kanye West & Meeting Beyonce

So far, this has been a great year for Frank Ocean. He produced songs for Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Kanye West and graced the cover of Issue # 75 Fader magazine. Earlier in the week, Frank Ocean stopped by New York’s Hot 97 to converse with Angie Martinez. During the interview, Frank Ocean talked about working with Jay-Z, Kanye West, meeting Beyoncé and Tyler, the Creator’s Twitter beefs.

On being nervous when he met Jay-Z for the first time.

[In]the initial walk in… he wasn’t saying anything and I was nervous, but as soon as we started talking, he’s super cool,” Ocean told Angie. “I think he was trying to make me nervous, make me sweat. It seemed a little intentional, but it was all good. We were laughing within minutes.”

On meeting Beyoncé.

Ocean said walking into the Watch the Throne session was like walking into a “heavy room,” as Jay-Z, Kanye’, Beyoncé’ and others were there. When Martinez asked if he was “checking Beyoncé out,” he replied, “I said hello and greeted her as I greeted everyone else.”

On his bandmate Tyler, the Creator Twitter beefs.

I definitely won’t go on the record and say that I latch on to every beef or confrontation or scuffle that Tyler gets into,” Ocean told Martinez. “Maybe in the street, but in the Matrix, or the Internet, I can’t keep up with that.”

I Can’t Feel My Face: Lil Wayne & Juelz Santana Collaborative Album Is Still In The Works

Almost five years ago it was reported that Lil Wayne and Juelz Santana were recording a collaborative album, entitled I Can’t Feel My Face. A few false release dates have been reported, but an official date was never confirmed. Fresh off the success of selling almost one-million albums in the first week, Lil Wayne is working on his long-delayed collaborative album with Juelz Santana. In an interview with XXL, Young Money president Mack Maine says Weezy is working on the project with Juelz.

The next project he’s working on is I Can’t Feel My Face with [Juelz Santana],” Maine told XXLMag.com over the phone. “Elz is talented man. He’s a young legend. [Wayne’s] back working in the studio. He has that and the Young Money album.”

As of press, there is no release date for Juelz and Weezy’s long-delayed collabo project.

Give Me The Keys To Her Handcuffs: Remy Ma Speaks On Her Husband Papoose & Her Kids From Behind The Prison Walls

Earlier in the year, former Terror Squad femcee Remy Ma appeal was denied. The court denied her argument that a judge didn’t properly inform jurors before they announced her guilty verdict. Remy Ma is serving eight years in prison for criminal possession of a weapon and two counts of assault stemming from the struggle in which a friend was shot. Smith had accused the friend of stealing $3,000 from her pocketbook. Unless a final appeal being prepared by her lawyers is granted, she will be behind bars until 2015. In an exclusive interview with XXL magazine, Remy talked about managing her relationship with her husband (rapper Papoose), her son and her husband’s children (Her son and his three children range in age between 11 and 13.). Below are some excerpts:

XXL: It’s been three and a half years now. How have you managed your relationship with Pap?

Remy Ma: Every day of the week, he was here except for one day—if I couldn’t have visitors on Saturday, he would come on Sunday, and if he couldn’t come on Sunday, then he would come on Saturday. Every day that I had a visit, he was here—8:30 in the morning to 3:30, every day. Interviews and everything that was scheduled would be here after our visits. And he was like, “I live here as long as you here.”

Mogul In The Making: Beyonce To Launch Record Label

Don’t think having a baby is going slow Beyoncé down. The mother-to-be has plans of launching her own record label and creating a boy band. Jay-Z’s wife sat down with The Associated Press during the launch of her Pulse fragrance in New York City. She talked about starting her own company, producing and developing other people careers. Below are some excerpts:

I am starting my company, my label. I want to create a boy band,” says Beyonce. “I want to continue to produce and do documentaries and music videos. I eventually want to start directing for other artists. Once I know that I have my stuff together and I trust that, I can do it for other artists.”

Before exiting, Bey added, “I see so many male artists building these empires and passing their knowledge on to other artists and development. I see myself doing the same thing and hopefully other younger artists when they grow up and they have been around for 15, 20 years, they can do the same thing.”
