Last weekend, Queens female rapper Nicki Minaj performed at the iHeartRadio Music Festival at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. During her set, Minaj performed some of her most popular songs such as “Super Brass,” “Roman Revenge,” “Fly,” and “Did It On Em.” After invading the stage, Billboard caught up with Minaj. During the brief interview, Minaj spoke about her new album.
“All I can say is that Roman will definitely be a humongous part of the follow-up to ‘Pink Friday,” says Minaj in her trademark Roman accent. “All I can say is that I’m working on it, and the fans are gonna get their life and then some.”
This is the follow-up to Minaj 2010’s platinum-selling debut album Pink Friday. The disc debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200 chart with first-week sales of 375,000 copies. Ultimately reaching number one on the chart, it has been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America and, as of September 2011, has sold 1,588,000 copies in the United States (source).
