T.I. aka the self-proclaimed “King of the South” is now freed from jail. Over this weekend, T.I. had a “Welcome Home Party” at ESSO in Atlanta. T.I.’s wife Tiny, Young Dro, Maino, Angela Yee, Nelly, Amar’e Stoudemire, CyHi the Prynce, B.o.B, DJ Drama and Ne Ne Leakes are a few celebrities who attended the jammed packed wall-to-wall event. T.I. also performed some of his greatest hits and some new material with B.o.B and Young Dro. Peep the pictures below:
In a radio interview at V-103 Radio Station in Atlanta, T.I. said that he’s going back to the old T.I.
“To be frank, when I went through all the things I went through, the new sophisticated ‘Paper Trail,’ the upper echelon T.I all those people were the quickest to give me their back pockets to kiss. The ones that really stayed down with me were them Bankhead natives, the ones who supported them first two albums. I feel like I’m going to stay down with who stayed down with me. I’m going to speak to the people who spoke to me. I’m going to communicate with the people who supported me during my darkest hour. Also, being a fan of music myself, I understand the core and foundation of my success derives from that. At one time I was so focused and caught up in being a role model, being what everybody else expecting me to be that I got away from what I do best and that’s Bankhead. That’s what I meant by that. Energy wise, subject matter wise, sonically.”
