Styling On Them Lames: Wale In Nike Total Air Foamposite Max

During a recent interview with WGCI Radio Station in Chicago, IL, MMG rapper Wale (who is also a sneaker-head) was spotted rocking a pair of Nike Total Air Foamposite Max “Metallic Silver.” This sneaker was originally released on September 30, 2011. According to Sole Collector, “this particular pair utilizes a metallic silver Foamposite-constructed upper with the signature Swoosh-branded jewel calling out on the ankle. Photo blue accents are also seen, along with a photo blue full-length Max Air unit sitting atop the black outsole down below.”

On 11.1.11, MMG rapper Wale will be releasing his sophomore LP Ambition. The 14 tracks disc has collaborations with Rick Ross, Meek Mill, Ne-Yo, Big Sean and others. On the album cover, instead of doing an expensive photo shoot, Wale opts for an illustration of himself.  This is the follow-up to his 2009′s debut album Attention Deficit. The disc debuted at #21 on the Billboard 200 and sold 28,000 copies in its first week.

Hell Up In Harlem: Vado Releasing ‘Slime Flu 2’ Mixtape, Working On Debut Album

Over the past few years, New York’s rapper Vado have been making a name for himself as he made a transition from an underground rapper to a mainstream emcee. Cam’ron’s protegé is busy at work, dropping  mixtapes that he hopes builds a bigger buzz before the release of his debut solo album.

The Harlem native told XXL that he submitted his Slime Flu 2 mixtape to DJ Drama last week and is expecting it to be released early next month.

We were thinking about Halloween [for the release], but that would be too close for Drama, so right now he’s hosting it and he’s going to give me a date,” Vado told XXL on Friday. “I’m thinking about putting out a mixtape every month, keep em going every month until the album.”

Vado says he expects his solo debut album to drop “first or second quarter” of next year, after he’s built enough mixtape buzz with Slime Flu 2 and Boss of All Bosses 3, a collaboration effort with Cam’ron that V12 says is all done and ready to hit the streets when Killer Cam gives it a date.

Last week, Vado’s new single “Okay Y’all,” Ft. Fabolous, off Slime Flu 2 leaked on the interweb last week.

I can’t wait to put out this mixtape,” Vado said, “to show people I’m the future.”
