Yesterday Wednesday (November 16), in an interview with MTV Rap Fix MMG rapper and CEO Rick Ross confirmed that the December 13 release date for his forthcoming LP, entitled God Forgive, I Don’t is subject to change because of his health issues. “[Because of] my little health situation, I had to postpone a lot of my groundwork,” said Ross. “And I feel like that’s important for artists like myself.”
“If I wanted to, I’m pretty sure I could still meet that date, but I think for the people, it’s more important [to lay groundwork] for when I get out there and look them in the face and touch them hands,” Ross said, explaining the likelihood of a delay. “We’ve just gotta lay ground for it, and I’mma keep y’all updated.”
Back in October,Ross premiered two new singles from the album, the Just Blaze-produced single “I Love My Bit**es” and “You the Boss” Ft. Nicki Minaj, both available on iTunes now.
As far as Ross vision for God Forgives, I Don’t, “My vision for this album is so clear, everything’s falling into place,” says Ross in an interview with RollingStone. While he has yet to confirm track-list details, Ross has been cranking hard on the album between tour dates with Lil Wayne. Says the rapper, “I’m excited to see the response to this album – I expect it to be bigger than my previous one.”
