Love Her Or Hate Her, She Made It Out The Ghettos Of South Philly: Amber Rose Talks “Fame” & Having Babies With Wiz Khalifa

Model, actress and soon-to-be pop singer Amber Rose has many reasons to be smiling. Yesterday, the South Philly native released her debut single, entitled “Fame” Ft. Wiz Khalifa. In the past two-days, the record have been getting a lot of great feedback. Rose is currently in NYC, making her promo rounds. The YBF, chatted with Rose about “Fame,” having babies with her rapper boyfriend Wiz Khalifa in the future, modeling, her reality show and much more. Below are some excerpts:

Some people are going to say you don’t have any skills and Wiz Khalifa just handed you a song and a deal.  Why go the obvious route of having him on the track…and how do you respond to critics of “Fame”?  “I put ‘Fame’ out for free and I’m not making any money off of it.  It’s very appropriate for my life now as it’s about the pros and cons of fame.  Wiz is on the track because he’s a very big part of my life. And Wiz did not help me with the record at all.  I did the record and sent it to him while he was overseas on tour, and that’s when he heard and loved it and jumped on it. I mainly did the song to open the doors into my life and let people know what I deal with everyday.”

Do you think fame is becoming too easy to obtain nowadays? “I don’t think fame is easy.  I think that if you are very interesting, like you have a unique look….people become fascinated with you.  I get a lot of scrutiny because people say that I am famous for no reason, but they don’t count the fact that I have walked runways in Paris, London and New York.  And with my body type….that’s a really big deal.  It’s ground breaking.  I’ve been in high fashion magazines and people took an interest in me.  I can’t make people google me and look me up.”

You and Wiz are very tight these days. Do you see kids in the near future? Absolutely. We want to have a lot of babies!

How do you keep the relationship balanced and fresh? I think….I don’t know. We are just really in love. Every second we have to spend together we do spend together.

Sneaker Me Dope: Swizz Beatz Rocking $895 Christian Louboutin Alfie Sneakers

Music producer, fashion designer and creative director Swizz Beatz was recently photo’d in the recording studio wearing a pair of $895 Christian Louboutin Alfie sneakers. These sneakers are one of the latest colorways from the French luxury fashion brand. These pair of Alfie sneakers are in a red, green and white colorway. Swizzy is also in the studio recording a new mixtape. You can order these sneaker online here. I respect what Swizz does. He’s very successful and wealthy. This Bronx native went from being a regular kid living in New York to becoming a major figure in the entertainment industry. He produced for some of the most talented artists in the music industry such as Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Mary J. Blige, Whitney Houston, Eve, Jadakiss, 50 Cent and many more. Swizzy also sold more than 300 million records and has collaborated with major fashion houses like Christian Louboutin, Reebok and Aston Martin.

“When I say the sky is not the limit, it’s just the view, that’s something I came up with because I think people are comfortable when they reach a certain level and lose the hunger,” said Swizz Beatz. “I don’t think there should be any boundaries on exploring the next level. If you can stand up on the moon and look up in the air from there, it’s still just a view, you can go up higher than that. I use that slogan to inspire people to do whatever their wildest dreams are, to just go for it,” added Swizz.

He’s A Bad Boy: French Montana Talks NY’s Gangsta Music, Rap Beef, Signing To Diddy’s Label & Much More

New York’s rapper French Montana is the hottest rapper to come out of NY since the early 2000’s. Last year, this 28-year-old Bronx native signed a deal with Diddy’s Bad Boy Records. Montana started Cocaine City DVD, back in 2003. The primary focus of the DVD was to showcase his talents and give other up and coming artists a chance to let their voices be heard and talents be seen. The DVD also included interviews from major rappers from New York, Philly, Atlanta, Miami and New Jersey. Within the first few months of launching his DVD, Cocaine City grew and became one of the fastest and best-selling “Street DVD’s,” which nearly sold one million copies to date. The success of “Cocaine City” DVD series helped launch Montana’s career as a rapper. HipHopDX recently caught up with Montana. He talked about the old French Montana vs the new French Montana, how he is staying afloat, New York’s gangsta rap, working with artists in the South, beef and more. Below are some excerpts:

On being a new artist. Yeah, I feel like the old me died and the new me came out. I feel like that happens with a lot of artists.

On the old French Montana. The old me is just the person who’s trying get on; who’s doing everything and touching everything. The position I’m at now is like you’re on and you’ve got to prove yourself. So the old me that was trying to get on died. The new me that’s trying to prove himself is active right now.

On staying afloat. Just keeping my ear to the street and staying updated with everything. Keeping with people that’s grounded. There’s always new fashion, there’s new music, there’s new styles. Styles don’t stop coming out. If you’re a kid growing up, there’s always gonna be new jackets, new sneakers, new everything. So I switch my style. When the styles change, I change with it.
