I previous reported that Chicago’s up & coming rapper Chief Keef is in a bidding war. Atlantic Records, Birdman’s Cash Money, and Jeezy’s Corporate Thugz Entertainment are all interested in signing the 16-year-old Midwest rapper. Not too long ago, Keef flew to NYC to meet with Atlantic, he was or still is scheduled to fly down to Miami to meet with Birdman and Jeezy recently paid him a visit. While touring in the Midwest, Jeezy stopped in the Chi to have a secret meeting with Keef. If you look at the first picture, you will see that a contract is sitting on the table near Jeezy. As of press, there is no official word on if Keef signed the contract or not. His success came overnight, thanks to YouTube. Keef, welcome to the music industry, give it all you have and take your talents pass the stars.
She is a true fashionista! Solange Knowles put on upscale designers clothes from Cavalli, Burberry, Louis Vuitton, Mulberry and worked the camera for her latest fashion spread in the July 2012 issue of Glamour France magazine. Solo is very pretty and humble. I love her personality, she is such a sweet young woman. Besides DJing, she is also the spokeswoman for RIMMEL Cosmetics and Carol’s Daughter. She rocked various looks from vintage to glamour to conservative in her shoot. Peep the pictures below:
Last week, I reported that Maybach Music Group’s rapper Meek Mill has decided to release his mixtape track “Amen” as an official single off his debut album, entitled Dreams & Nightmares which arrives August 28. The track will impact the radio on June 19th. Earlier today Sunday (June 10), Meek and Drake began filming the visual to “Amen” on the Arts Museum steps in Philadelphia. Travis Porter also made a cameo. On Twitter, Rick Ross announced that the final segment to the visual will be filmed at Club Liv in Miami tonight. Peep the pictures below:
Both of these sexy ladies were looking like a bag of money. Kelly Rowland and her bestie La La Vazquez-Anthony got all glammed-up for Kelly’s Vegas magazine cover party last night Saturday (June 9), at Boulevard Pool in Las Vegas. Kelly was wearing an ocean-inspired frock dress with pink snakeskin heels. La La wore a colorful dress and suede aqua Christian Louboutin shoes. The ladies also helped the magazine celebrate their 9th anniversary. Peep the pictures below:
This guy is very talented and he just dropped an anthem for the summer. Odd Future’s singer/songwriter Frank Ocean recently released his new song “Pyramids”. The track serves as a single off his upcoming album, entitled Channel Orange which arrives July 17 via Def Jam. On the moody tunes, Ocean sings his heart out as he looks for his Black Queen Cleopatra. Listen below:
“It succinctly defines me as an artist for where I am right now and that was the aim, just to make something that represents where you are at that time. It’s about the stories. If I write 14 stories that I love, then the next step is to get the environment of music around it to best envelop the story and all kinds of sonic goodness—sonic goodies,” said Frank Ocean when asked about his upcoming album.
After setting the stage on fire for a dope performance on the Today Show in NYC, Breezy decided to go sneaker shopping in the Soho section of Manhattan. Breezy was rocking a pair of Air Jordan 2 White/Varsity Red “Countdown Pack”. These Air Jordan Countdown pack with the Jordan 2 resurfaced in 2008 for $310. Breezy also rocked a white tee-shirt and blue cargo pants. Nice outfit Breezy but I would have worn red cargo pants.
This past Tuesday (June 5), New Orleans’ rapper Curren$y released his new album, entitled The Stoned Immaculate which is projected to move between 40-45k units in the first week. Still riding the wave off his new disc, which is also his eighth project since 2009, Curren$y released a bonus track called “Off That”, that didn’t make the album. Listen to the Spitta’s joint below:
