It is my opinion to say that Lauryn Hill is the greatest female rapper of all times. She influenced a lot of young girls around the world, opened up the doors and set a higher standard for female artists. Her 1998’s album, The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill was a major success. It debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, sold over 423,000 copies in its first week and sold more than 19 million copies worldwide.
Back in September, Hill’s former Fugees bandmate Wyclef Jean made headlines when he released his autobiography, entitled Purpose. In the book, Wyclef claimed that Hill tricked him into believing that her first baby was his up until the child’s birth. Wyclef also talked negative and spread rumors about Hill’s relationship with her former longtime lover Rohan Marley and the Fugees. He also called Hill crazy and bi-polar. During a recent stop in Dallas, Texas on her ‘Life Is Good/Black Rage’ tour with Nas, Hill subliminally explained why she hasn’t replied to Wyclef rumors and she also recited the lyrics to “Black Rage”.
