Last night Wednesday (March 27), I attended VH1’s The Gossip Game ‘Press Reception’ at XL Nightclub. VH1, Monami Entertainment and Myx Fusions hosted the event which was spearheaded by 135th Street Agency. Industry bloggers, tastemakers, socialites, music executives, rappers & radio DJ’s packed the nightclub in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen to watch a private premiere screening of the show, followed by a Q&A segment which was narrated by entertainment and media mogul Mona Scott-Young. All of the cast members were there. Reality stars Yandy Smith and Jennifer Williams, music executive Mike Kyser, rapper Bun B, Power 105‘s Charlamagne, and Hot 97’s Ebro Darden were also in attendance. Guests in attendance sipped Myx Fusions moscato and Malibu Red as well as took pics and did interviews. Speaking of interviews, I have a few interviews and excerpts that I will be posting soon. I was one of the bloggers who was chosen to asked a question. My question was directed to K. Foxx and Angela Yee. I asked the ladies, “would you ever put your issues aside and work together because you guys are two African-American women on two of the top rated urban stations in NYC and a lot of young girls do look up to you as role models.” Lord Jesus, I didn’t know that I wound start a heated argument by asking that question (I will be posting their responses soon).
I am not able to give away the show or talk about what happened on the premiere episode, but make sure you tune in to The Gossip Game starring Kim Osorio (Editor-In-Chief at The Source magazine), Angela Yee (Power 105’s morning show co-host), K. Foxx (Hot 97’s morning show co-host), Sharon Carpenter (Journalist/Global Grind), Jas Fly (freelancer/blogger), Ms. Drama (blogger), and Vivian Billings (blogger) this Monday (April 1) at 9pm on VH1.
