In the pics above and below, Shawn got bright in an orange V-neck tee-shirt from H&M and white jeans which he paired with Kevin Durant’s Nike KD V “Easter” sneakers. According to Sneakers News, “This closer look reveals some nice details, like the splattered Swoosh, the gradient detailing on the tongue, and the light mint outsole adding up to the pastel blue on the upper.” Shawn’s bright colors bring out his nice-looking dark complexion. Yesterday afternoon Tuesday (April 2), fashionable rapper and dope lyricist KiD CuDi appeared on Los Angeles’ Power 106 and announced that he’d left Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music, after being signed to the label for over four years. Cudi made it clear that there’s no negativity between the two and everything is good. CuDi is moving in a new direction and wants to focus more on his label, Wicked Awesome Records and developing his friend/artist King Chip. Cudi also spoke to Jay-Z and Kanye’s manager Don C prior to making his decision.
CuDi’s new album, Indicud arrives on April 23 via Republic Records and it is clearly noticeable that the album has no G.O.O.D. Music collaborations. Below are some excerpts from CuDi’s interview.
“Man, everything is cool. Everything is peace with everyone on the label, but I’m announcing that I’m no longer on G.O.O.D. Music. And this is something that no one knows really. I’m no longer on G.O.O.D. Music. Me and Kanye were actually talking on the phone the other day, and there’s been things I wanted to talk to him about. About me wanting to start my own direction, and he got it because he’s trying to start his own new path, and trying new things as an artist. And he was just like ‘Man, I feel you. It’s cool.’ This is just from a business standpoint. There’s no beef with anyone on the label. It’s all love.”
“It’s not like some beef thing, it’s just business. I went through a process where I talked to Don C, and then I went to talk to Jay-Z. And then got their opinions about how to approach [Kanye] about things I wanted to talk to him about and everybody gave me the blessing on how I was approaching it and my concerns. I talked to Don C to get his opinion on how to approach Kanye. Then I hit up Jay to get his opinion on how to approach Kanye, because I never wanted to offend him and I didn’t know how he’d take it. And I was like ‘Man I do not want to make my brother mad,’ me and Kanye have never bumped heads, we’ve never argued, we’ve never been in heated conversations…ever. I really went out my way to make sure that what I was feeling was justified and it was ok for me to bring it to the table. And Hov reassured me, he was like ‘Yo man I hear it in your tone that it’s genuine and everything that you’re saying to me, how you’re saying it I know Kanye will be receptive to that. I know he’ll honor it’”
