HOT97 Summer Jam 2013 Live Blog


New York’s Hot 97’s Summer Jam 2013 concert is currently taking place at New Jersey’s Met Life Stadium and yours truly (Don Bleek) is in the press booth reporting/blogging live. Celebrating Hot 97’s 20th anniversary, the main event started at 6:30 p.m. with Dirty Jerz rapper Joe Budden. He took the stage in a denim shirt and camo pants paired with Timberland boots. Budden performed tracks including “Pump It Up,” “She Don’t Put It Dow” Ft Tank who was one of his special guests. Budden also brought out his Slaughterhouse comrade, Joell Ortiz.


After Budden exited the stage, Miguel sexed it up for the ladies. He performed his chart-topping and Grammy Award winning single “Adore” and other tracks off his latest album, Kaleidoscope Dream. Miguel brought out Roc Nation’s rapper J. Cole for “Power Trip“, which will appear on J. Cole’s upcoming album, Born Sinner. The album arrives June 18. Before ending his segment, Miguel brought out Mariah Carey for “Beautiful“.


D.C.’s Wale was next up to the plate. He opened his set with “Lotus Flower Bomb,” followed by “Lightout” and “Bad“. Wale also brought out his MMG partner Meek Mill who performed “Imma Boss,”House Party” and “It’s Levels To This S**t“.


Others on the bill include Chris Brown, Fabolous, Wu Tang Clan, Kendrick Lamar, A$AP Rocky and the show’s headliner, French Montana.

Beyonce & Jay-Z, Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Lopez, Iggy Azalea, Rita Ora & More Perform At Chime For Change In London


Over this weekend, celebs such as Beyoncé & Jay-Z, Mary J Blige, Jennifer Lopez, Iggy Azalea, Rita Ora, Jessie J, Jada Pinkett Smith, Zoe Saldana and more flew across the pond (London) for the ‘Sound of Change‘ charity concert held at Twickenham Stadium. This event was part of the Chime for Change campaign which was co-founded by Beyoncé, Salma Hayek and fashion house Gucci’s creative director Frida Giannini to support women empowerment as well as project that improve access to health, education and justice for women.


Beyoncé was the show’s headliner and she performed tracks including “Crazy In Love,” with Jay-Z, Sam Cooke’sChange Is Gonna Come,” Etta James‘ “At Last” and Whitney Houston’sI Will Always Love You“. Jennifer Lopez brought Mary J. Blige out as a special guest during her set to perform The Beatles track, “Come Together.”

Instagram Sunday: Rick Ross, Meek Mill & Juelz Santana Styling In Designers


Rick Ross was photo’d sitting on a bench in the  Dykman section of NYC. He styled in a floral shirt and blue denim jeans paired with orange snakeskin Christian Louboutin sneakers.


Meek Mill was spotted with Macklemore. Meek was rocking a Billionaire Boys Club Tee-Shirt. You can get this shirt at Karama Loop for $50.
