A few weeks ago, I reported that Brookyn-breed music mogul Jay-Z descended upon Manhattan’s Pace Gallery for a six-hour performance of his single “Picasso Baby” and some of the footage will be used for the official music visual. The moment draws inspirations from artist Marina Abramovic’s 2010 MoMA exhibition Marina Abramovic: The Artist is Present. It is being reported that the visual was directed by Mark Romanek who also directed Jay-Z’s “99 Problem“. Romanek also coordinated the event along with Salon 94. Marina Abramovic, Wale, Jerry Slatz, Judd Apatow and George Condo were in attendance.
Jay-Z continues to set #newrules! HBO will premiere “Picasso Baby” official visual on August 2nd at 11pm. Following the premiere, Jigga is set to appear on Real Time with Bill Maher.
What I like and respect the best about Jigga is that he always finds new ways of making more money than his peers. Jigga is bigger than BET, MTV and Fuse.
