Angela Simmons Wears A Boohoo Printed Shirtdress & $210 BDonnas Piarry Boots

Angela Simmons is set to end her 106 & Park summer hosting duties at the end of this week. In the meantime, she continues to style on the video countdown show. Angela wore a Boohoo Printed Shirtdress paired with $210 BDonnas Piarry Boots. This outfit is definitely an eye-catcher!  I love the prints and thigh high boots.

Angela has done an amazing job hosting 106 & Park with Bow Wow. She brought a lot of sexiness, fashion, style and energy to the show. She will host her first fashion show next week (September 10) during NYFW.

Last month, the entrepreneuress hosted the official launch of her new site, AngelaIAm.Com and introduced the launch of the e-Commerce section of her site at NYC’s Henri Bendel, located on 5th Avenue. See the full recap here!

Dominic Lord For LA Canvas

Last week, I posted a sneak peek of rising Harlem rapper and fashion designer Dominic Lord photo shoot with LA Canvas magazine. See the original post here. The official cover has gone viral. The “Pierce” rapping rapper is covering the publications September/October 2013Fashion Issue”. He was shot by Conan Thai and styled by Adrian Manuel. LA Canvas is a Los Angeles-based Fashion, Music, Art & Culture magazine.

The fashion trendsetter should be releasing some new music soon. In the meantime, he is killing these photo shoots back and forth. Dominic Lord is so dope! I love his style. He’s really fashionable and marketable. My friend Bryce met him at a basketball screening event in NYC and he told me that Dominic Lord was so cool and humbled.

What are your thoughts on this cover?

Kerry Washington Covers Glamour; Talks Fashion, Scandal & Her New Marriage

Successful Hollywood actress Kerry Washington covers the October Fall 2013 issue of Glamour magazine. Things are really looking good for Washington. She’s truly blessed! She is the first African-American female to lead in a network drama in almost 40 years. Her role on Scandal made history and it also earned her an Emmy nomination. Earlier in the summer she got married to San Francisco 49ers cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha. Washington also serves the Obama administration (as a member of the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities).

On the cover of Glamour, she gets pretty in a pink Dior dress. Inside she poses in designer brands including DiorDolce & GabbanaBurberry ProrsumChloeChristian LoboutinJimmy ChooLouis Vuitton and more. She also talked to writer Cindi Leive about fashion, Scandal and her new marriage. Below are some highlights:

Bodysuit, scarf, Louis Vuitton; diamond ring, Van Cleef & Arpels; bag, Prada; pumps, Jimmy Choo.

I want to ask about fashion too. At what point did it start to be fun, or is it still kind of something you do because it’s part of the job?
It started out as, like, Good-Student Kerry. OK, I’m going to admit this: There were a couple of actresses whom I felt were having the upper hand careerwise—because they knew how to work that red carpet. I was like, “I’m missing a really important tool. If I am the CEO of the Kerry Washington Corporation, my marketing department is really lax.” So I sort of developed a new character: Red-Carpet Kerry.

And the fashion on Scandal is a whole other story. All that white! Did that come from you?
From me and the costume designer Lyn Paolo. And the pants—that Olivia wears pants—that was mine, because I really wanted her to wear the pants in that relationship.

OK, so relationships. In interview after interview, you always use the same phrase: “I don’t talk about my personal life.” I’m curious about the discipline that it requires to be so tight-lipped.
I learned through experience that it doesn’t work for me to talk about my personal life. I’ve had earlier times in my career when I did talk about it. I was on the cover of a bridal magazine [InStyle Weddings, in 2005, when Washington was engaged to actor David Moscow]. But I couldn’t just turn around and say, “I only want to talk about the good stuff, but not the bad stuff.” So I just thought, OK, no more.

You even managed to get married in June without anyone knowing.
Absolutely! I’m walking around in the world with my ring. And when people say congratulations, I say thank you. But I’m going to continue to not talk about it and just let it unfold.

Dress, Dior.

Sweater, skirt, Dolce & Gabbana; coat, Burberry Prorsum; ring, H.Stern; bag, Chloe; pumps, Christian Louboutin.
