The son of NBA legend and Los Angeles Clippers coach (Doc Rivers) Instagram’d his $780 Givenchy Columbian Star Fit Cotton Jersey Tee-Shirt. Austins tee-shirt features a multi-colored check and white star on the front. You can purchase this shirt at Luisaviaroma or Farfetch. While attending Winter Park High School in Florida, Austin Rivers was ranked #1 by Rivals.com and the #3 player by ESPN and Scout.Com. He also led his high school to back-to-back Florida 6A state championships in 2010 and 2011. That same year (2011), he also played in the Nike Hoop Summit for the USA National Team and the McDonald’s All-American Game. He committed to Duke University in 2011, with offers from Kansas and North Carolina. On March 26, 2012 (Don Bleek’s birthday), Duke University announced that Austin was foregoing his final three years of college and entering the NBA draft. He was selected by the New Orleans Pelcians (formerly the New Orleans Hornets), with the No. 10 pick in the first round of the 2012 NBA Draft.

Austin Rivers Speaks On The Inspiration That He Receives From His Father & Reveals His Guilty Music Pleasure

NBA rookie Austin Rivers (guard for the New Orleans Hornets) had the opportunity to converse with Uncle Russell Simmons‘ online publication Global Grind. The California native talks about the inspiration that he receives from his father (Doc Rivers) who is an NBA legend and currently the head coach of the Boston Celtics, his achievements for this upcoming season (which is winning), being good friends with other rookies and being able to play with Anthony Davis. He also reveals his music pleasure and admits that he just brought 2 Chainz’sBased On A True Story and Rick Ross‘ God Forgives, I Don’t albums. Some people will be shocked to know that this 6 ft. 4 in. player knows all of Spice Girls songs. Watch his interview below:
