Studio Me Dope: Pharrell Williams, Busta Rhymes, Kendrick Lamar, Mac Miller, Reek Da Villian & Wiz Khalifa In The Lab

The other night history was made in the studio. Music producer Pharrell Williams was photo’d in the lab with Hip-Hop legend Busta Rhymes and newcomers Kendrick Lamar, Mac Miller, Wiz Khalifa and Reek Da Villian. I’m sure they were making stadium music. I can’t wait until the final product is released. Khalifa’s sophomore album, entitled O.N.I.F.C is scheduled to hit music retailers this Summer. Visionary & Businessman: Birdman Talks About YMCMB And Signing Busta Rhymes

Music mogul Bryan “Birdman” Williams is a true hustla and professional businessman. In the late 90’s, he secured a $30 million distribution deal with Universal for his Cash Money label. In my opinion, Birdman is one of the greatest visionaries s in music history. AHH recent caught up with Birdman. He talked about the secret to having winners over at YMCMB and signing Busta Rhymes. Below are some excerpts:

On the secret to having all winners over at YMCMB.

The secret is the ethics. I started with a certain ethic that this is all we do is music; our lives are surrounded by music. And, the bond that me and Wayne have, the bond that me and my son have had for years and the ethics that I poured into him – the ethics have become a disease around here. Everybody know this ain’t no game. Ain’t nobody playin’, folks are serious.

And I think what we bring to our younger team is…when we was young, this sh*t was a party. Even though we was doing great music, it took some time for us to get over that little hump, as far as this ain’t just a party, this is a business. I think the younger crew under us understands that this is a business first and party coming after. And I think they’ve inherited the hard work ethics. All of us, we’re really striving to be the best. N*ggas are working hard, and that’s all we gon’ have a push for. You know, they young, but Slim and me, we’d rather be in the studio than anywhere else in the world outside of God and family. So, that’s the only vacation. Just work hard, and let God do the rest.

On Busta Rhyme deal.

When I came in, that was something he had already orchestrated, something that was in the making already. The Google situation is something that he had already put together. We’re just coming in because we’re fulfilling our obligations to Busta, which I think is a great situation between him and Google. I think it’s great that Google is even doing that.

I do a majority of my business with iTunes, and I have nothing but love and respect for iTunes. I do a tremendous amount of business with them. But, I think the Google situation with Busta is the first time he’s doing it and we’re doing it and they’re doing it. I think it’s great for the business, and any outlet for income for the business is great, for anybody and everybody who’s doing business. So, I think it’s a great situation, and it was something that he put together, something that he and Chris Lighty, who is his manager, put together. We just came in to play our position and our role, and we’re here now.

New Deals: Busta Rhymes & Mystikal Signs with Cash Money Records

Veteran emcee Busta Rhymes is ending 2011 with a big bang. Busta Buss recently signed with Birdman’s Cash Money Records. “Why Stop Now” Ft. Chris Brown is the first single from Busta’s forthcoming LP E.L.E. (Extinction Level Event) 2: End Of The World. MTV recently caught up with Busta to discuss his new deal. Below are some excerpts:

It’s an unbelievably groundbreaking deal, [there’s] never been a deal done like this before, where the most powerful search engine in the world combines with the most powerful record company in the world,” Busta said.

“It’s just amazing to see that they understood what Busta Rhymes means to the music, what Busta Rhymes means to the culture, what Busta Rhymes means to the embodiment of authentic hip-hop,” he explained, after linking with Google to release the new single “Why Stop Now,” which features Chris Brown.

I’m very proud to be aligned with Google, I’m extremely proud to be aligned with Cash Money, my management team, Violator, I’ve been aligned with them from day one— twenty years strong,” he continued. “It’s just exemplifying a different dynamic of greatness through this infrastructure and we’re gonna make something happen in a way that’s never happened in music before with this new deal.” According to celebrity blogger Miss Info, “former No Limit solider Mystikal has also signed with the Cash Money Empire.”

Exclusive Pictures From Chris Brown’s “Look At Me Now” Video Shoot With Lil Wayne & Busta Rhymes

R&B/Pop singer Chris Brown began the production for his video “Look At Me Now” Ft. Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes. Productions started this past Wednesday (March 22). The video is being directed by Colin Tilley and co-stars Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes. Kevin McCall and Diplo both made cameos in the video. I think the final  version of the video will be dope. The concept for the video is very cool. In the first picture above, Breezy, Weezy and Busta are standing on top of an ambulance in front of an industrial building. Check  out the pictures below.

The artwork for Chris Brown’s upcoming album F.A.M.E. has been released. The artwork for the album features some portraits of Breezy striking in different poses, and was designed by Ron English. Breezy will be releasing F.A.M.E. Forgiving All My Enemies on March 22.
