Street King Immortal: 50 Cent Announces New Album Single Ft. Alicia Keys & Dr. Dre

It’s been almost three years since 50 Cent released his last album, Before I Self Destruct. A few weeks ago, Fif dropped his street album, 5 (Murder By Numbers) which received mixed reviews. In November, Fif will be dropping his new album, Street King Immortal. During a recent interview with U.K.’s Digital Spy, 50 announced that Street King Immortal‘s first single features Alicia Keys and Dr. Dre and is set to drop today Tuesday (July 17).

I released three albums worth of material in the last three months. Big 10 which was celebrating the 10th year anniversary of my first mixtape. The Lost Tape followed that then I released 5 (Murder By Numbers). The next wave of music won’t be out until November. Street King Immortal is the actual studio album being marketed by Interscope. The first single will be out Tuesday (July 17), it’s myself, Alicia Keys and Dr. Dre. I’m excited about this project. It took a lot longer than what it would have had taken as far as I’m concerned creatively. But it worked itself out,” said 50 Cent.

His Brand Stands For Everything! Diddy Tops Forbes 2012 Hip-Hop List, His Net Worth Is $550 Million

In my opinion, Diddy epitomize what a Black man from the inner cities stand for. Education, Strength, Tenacity, Success & Wealth; Diddy represents all of that. This year, the entertainment mogul tops Forbes 2012 Hip-Hop List. The publication estimates this Harlem native net worth at $550 million. Jay-Z, Dr. Dre, Birdman and 50 Cent made the top five list as well. Below is an excerpt from Forbes:

Back in 2007, Jay-Z, Diddy and 50 Cent released “I Get Money (The Forbes 1-2-3 Billionaire Remix).” The song was a celebration of the artists’ inclusion atop the first-ever Forbes Hip-Hop Cash Kings list, now an annual package on the genre’s top-earning artists. It seems fitting that those same three artists find themselves in an even more exclusive group—the Forbes Five, a short list of hip-hop’s wealthiest moguls. Indeed, the original trio boasts a combined net worth well over a billion dollars, rendering their lyrical prognostications accurate.  They’re joined by Dr. Dre, flush with cash from his Beats headphone line, and Cash Money Records cofounder Bryan “Birdman” Williams.”

Complete list below:

1. Sean “Diddy” Combs – $550 Million

2. Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter – $460 Million

3. Andre “Dr. Dre” Young – $270 Million

4. Bryan “Birdman” Williams – $125 Million

5. Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson -$100 Million

Cut The Check: Dr Dre Sells 51% Of His Dre Beats Electronics To HTC For $309 Million

Last year music producer Dr. Dre made $14 million dollar, this year he’s $309 million richer after selling 51% of his Dre Beats to HTC for $309. The deal was recently announced. The Taiwan-based smartphone maker will acquire 51 percent of the company, which Dre co-founded with Interscope Geffen A&M Records CEO Jimmy Iovine in 2006. Beats, known for its popular Beats by Dr. Dre headphones, sells celebrity-endorsed lines by Lady Gaga, Diddy, and Justin Bieber.

The HTC and Beats by Dr. Dre partnership is an opportunity for two world-class companies to redefine the smartphone industry and define the future,” stated Iovine. “For Beats by Dr. Dre, this represents a critical step in our continued mission to clean up the destruction of audio caused by the digital revolution and reengineer how sound is delivered, so the consumer feels the music the way that the artist intended.”

As part of the strategic partnership and investment, HTC plans to incorporate Beats technology into their phones by the end of the year. Dr. Dre and Iovine will continue to operate Beats autonomously.
