The disc is entitled, The Lost Tape and will be out soon. Peep 50’s tweet below:

Don Bleek Interviews G-Unit’s 1st Femcee: Precious Paris Talks About How She Linked Up With 50 Cent, Female Rappers, Mixtape & More

50 Cent’s protégé Precious Paris recently released her debut mixtape, entitled From Paris With Love. The 11-track disc has guest appearances from 50 Cent, Kidd Kidd, Twane and Shaun White and boasts production from Havoc, Rahki, T-Minus and more. I caught up with G-Unit’s first femcee at the label’s office in NYC. While there, this Southside Jamaica Queens native and I talked about how she linked up with her boss, mixtape, female rappers & much more.

You rose to fame in 2011, after being featured on 50 Cent’s track “Queens”. In the past, what other projects did you worked on with 50?

We worked on “Kitty Cat” on the T.O.S. album and LL Cool J’s “Feel My Heartbeat” from his Exit 13 album.

In the past, you worked with producers Midi Maffia and Danngerous LLC, Who also happened to give 50 your demo. A week later, 50 called you into his office; do you recall that first meeting and how was it?

I was a nervous racked. I think water was dripping from my palms, I was really stiff and I didn’t move or say a lot. It was my first industry meeting.

How was 50 Cent’s personality?

It was the same as it is today and the same it was back in the days when he was living in Southside.

50 did not initially sign you to G-Unit after the 1st meeting, did that motivated you to work harder?

Yes, of course because I knew deep down inside that he would come back.

So, after the first meeting, how long did it take for 50 to call you back?

It took a couple of years.

How did you feel when 50 finally called you back and told you he wants to sign you?

I played it cool. I said, “Okay, I’ll call you back when I can.” Then I hung up the phone and jumped up and down. “I think my head hit the ceiling.”

Wow, you told 50 Cent that you will call him back?

Yeah and he waited for my call. I was at work.

When did you officially sign to G-unit Records?

September 2011, this was the happiest moment of my life.

He’s Going Back To The Bank: Shawty Lo Signed A $10 Million Deal With 50’s Cent G-Unit Label

I previous reported that Southern rapper Shawty Lo signed a deal with 50 Cent’s G-Unit Records. Lo and 50 recently stopped by Atlanta’s  Hot 107.9 to talk about their new partnership and Lo’s new $10 Million venture.

My vision, man, is to give it 100 percent, whatever we do,” Shawty said. “I really signed with 50 because I feel like 50’s a marketing genius. I’ve been watching him since he first came into the game before I even thought about becoming a rapper. But to make it short and simple, I signed a big deal with 50, $10 million deal. If that ain’t enough, he’s sitting right beside me, so let’s get it…A lot of artists come into the game and they don’t know the business side. So basically, I was one of those artists at first in the beginning. In the music business, it’s really 20 percent music and 80 percent business. If you learn the business, you can really go a long way.” (Hot 107.9)

50 said there was also a private investor who helped put up some of the money.

What Shawty didn’t know is it’s a fund with private investors,” 50 added. “That money is theirs. I didn’t actually give him the $10 million. He has a chunk of that but the rest of the money is there so he can actually launch the projects that come through. He can choose things out of the South and I’ll choose things from different territories…When he came to the actual office and played the music that he had for his new album, I knew that I was impressed.” (Hot 107.9)

New Deal: Lil Kim Signs To 50 Cent’s G-Unit Records [With Video]

Music mogul 50 Cent is trying to bring back G-Unit Records. Last week, I reported that 50 signed Atlanta’s rapper Shawty Lo to his imprint. Last night,  Hot 107.9 in ATL celebrated their 16th Birthday Bash. Shawty Lo performed and during his set, he brought out Lil Kim. The Queen Bee performed her verses to “All About The Benjamins” and “Get Money.”

Right before getting into “Get Money,” Kim stopped and announced that she’s with G-Unit and they have a few surprises. Last year, I reported that Lil Kim signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation but the deal was never finalized because they couldn’t come to a contractual agreement. Peep the video below; around the 6:20 mark Lil Kim speaks on her new deal with G-Unit.

I Don Bleek was the first Hip-Hop Journalist/Blogger to report that Lil Kim is with 50 Cent’s G-Unit Records. If you’re going to post or quote my story, please give me the proper credit. In the past, others used my work without giving me credit.
