baddie7

The other day I posted a sneak peek of Beyoncé’s February 2013 GQ Cover. Today, the official cover went viral and Bey is one bad woman! She is working it with her cute stomach and killer abs. On the cover, Bey opts for a sport themed which includes a sky blue cropped jersey top and red & black leopard panties. She was shot by famed photographer Terry Richardson for this issue. Below are an excerpt and another pic from her spread.

But why not number one this year?

“The moves I make, I ain’t never in no rush.”

Any advice for readers?

GQ’s (Men Of The Year Issue): Rihanna’s SEXY Photo Spread & Highlights

Yesterday Monday (November 12), I posted Rihanna’s nude GQ “Men Of The Year Issue” and today, Riri’s official photo spread and highlights from her cover story were released. Just like Adina Howard’s 1997 popular song, “Tee-Shirt & Panties”, that is exactly what Riri had on in her Sebastin Kim shoot. Inside, Riri talks about the way she is perceived, her sexual image, what turns her on, the kind of music she makes and much more. Below are some highlights:

On how people look at her and see wealth and a product and how she looks at herself and see art:

“Sometimes a person looks at me and sees dollars. They see numbers and they see a product, ” she says. “I look at me and see art. If I didn’t like what I was doing, then I would say I was committing slavery. “

On the way she is perceived by others and her “sex symbol” image:

“I was a lot more naive about the way I moved and the way I was being perceived. The more you hear people talk about ‘Oh, you’re a sex symbol,’ it just makes you think, ‘Why are you saying that?’ And I figured it out.”

On what turns her on:

“I like to feel like a woman,” she says. “I have to be in control in every other aspect of my life, so I feel like in a relationship, like I wanted to be able to take a step back and have somebody else take the lead.”

On if she like to switch things up:

“I could absolutely be dominant,” she answers. “But, in general, I’d rather… How do I say this in like a…non-X-rated version?” Right. Lastly, any boundaries I should know about? “Love makes you go places you probably wouldn’t ever go, had it not been for love. But I think everybody still has their limits.”

On the type of music she wants to make:

“I want to make music that’s hopeful, uplifting. Nothing corny or supersentimental,” she told me. “I just want it to have the feeling that brings you out of whatever you’re going through. I want it to spark that fire. I want it to be real, authentic, and raw.”

Damn She’s BAD! Cassie Covers Her SEXY Body In A LOT Of OIL In GQ Magazine’s October 2012 Issue

Damn Cassie is BAD! The Bad Boy recording artist got oiled-up in a bikini top and booty shorts in the October 2012 issue of GQ Magazine. Remember, Cassie started off as a model, so I’m sure this shoot wasn’t a problem for her. She worked those cameras. Her attitude in these pics is fiercest! Inside, she talks about being a laid back person, still feeling like a new artist, and her sophomore album. Below are some excerpts:

On her personality:

“I’m just a laid-back person. Maybe laid-back to a fault.”

On her long-delayed sophomore album:

“It’s been too long, I know, but I got to start over and over again.”

On being popular:

“It would be awesome to stay popular, but if I was only an underground artist, I would be okay with that.”

On how she feels as an artist:

“I feel like I’m a new artist.”

Looking All Dapper: Drake Covers GQ & Speaks On The New Generation Of Rappers And Past Promiscuity

Drake is looking all dapper in a black suit on the cover of the April issue of GQ magazine. In the cover story, Drake expresses his feelings about the new generation of rappers, where he labeled it as “just being young and fly,” finding influences for his songwriting and past promiscuity. Drake also said that he was “mischievous, but calculated.” Below are some excerpts:

On the new generation of rappers…
“Rap now is just being young and fly and having your shit together. The mood of rap has changed.”

On finding influences for his songwriting…
“I’m trying to find the same feelings that I had for women when I had very little going on, which is tough. When I was in my mom’s house, I had nowhere to go, no real obligations. My girlfriend at the time, if she was mad at me, my day was all fucked-up. I didn’t have anything else. And that made for some of the best music, I think, to date. Records where I felt small. …It’s really difficult for me to find something that makes me feel small.”

On past promiscuity…
“There’s just a time where it was like, just getting pussy. Where I was in that sort of ‘I’m young, I’m going to disconnect from my emotions and just do what everyone else tells me I should do and just a be a rapper and have my fun.’ And for me as a person, it just doesn’t work. The seconds after a man reaches climax, that’s the realest moment of your life. If I don’t want you next to me in that fifteen, twenty seconds, then there’s something wrong.”

On his bad boy persona…
“I’m mischievous, but I’m calculated.”

Read more over at GQ. The issue hits stands March 20th.

Music & Fashion: Pharrell Williams Speaks On His Boot Line, BBC Clothing For Women, Collab Album With Lupe Fisaco & Producing Jay-Z’s “Glory”

While driving to his studio in Miami, Grammy Award winning producer Pharrell Williams chatted with GQ magazine. In the short phone conversation, the talented music artist and fashionisto talked about his upcoming boot line, BBC clothing line for females, collaboration album with Lupe Fiasco and helping Jay-Z craft his daughter-dedicated cut “Glory.” Below are some excerpts:

You’re working on a new line of boots, right?
Yeah. We’re working on some boots for BBC [Billionaire Boys Club]. But I can’t really talk about it.

Well, speaking of BBC, you’re releasing a women’s line soon, BGC, right?
Yup! And it’s crazy!

Will there be much of a difference between the men’s and women’s line aside from sizing and maybe color schemes?
Again, I can’t give it away. Somebody else will do it. [Laughs] But it’s definitely us. It’s signature us. It’s awesome.

You’ve started a lot of fashion trends over the years. Are you aware of the latest that folks are adopting slowly but surely? Style guys are feeling your plaid-shirt-around-the-waist-for-no-reason look.
[Laughs] Uh, I guess I’m just having a ’90s grunge moment. And, like, is that the case? Is that what you’re seeing?

Are you working on any new music with N.E.R.D.?
Not so much the N.E.R.D., because I’m in producer mode. But I’m definitely in the studio producing shit, though.

Lupe Fiasco recently announced that you’re working on an album together? You two and Kanye West were working on a project once upon a time, too, your crazy schedules interfered. Think this one will pan out?
I can’t talk about that. Lupe is my man and whatever we’re talking about we can’t really discuss and get into right now. We’re talking about some very interesting things.

Well, let’s talk about something that’s done and out now: Jay-Z’s “Glory.” You produced it. What did it mean to you to assist in making a song for Jay’s first born? It’s like rap’s “Isn’t She Lovely.”
Uh, that was awesome. But again, that was another covert operation.

Did you guys record that in the hours after his daughter was born or was it recorded in advance? Obviously, her first cries were added after she was born.
That was, uh… That was, um… Everything was by design. That’s all I’ll say.
