New Visual: Rick Ross “Hold Me Back”, Sampling Juvenile’s “Ha” Video

BET can’t stop the Bawse (Rick Ross)! If you haven’t heard, the network banned Rick Ross “Hold Me Back” visual but that didn’t stop me from uploading it. Rick Ross and his MMG crew (Wale, Stalley and Gunplay) recently took a trip to New Orleans to film the official visual for God Forgives, I Don’t’s third single “Hold Me Back”. In the Taj-directed visual, Ross samples Juvenile “Ha” video which appeared on his 1998′s LP, 400 Degreez. Juve shot his video in New Orleans’ Magnolia Housing Projects which is located Uptown (11th and 12th Wards). Ross filmed his visual in Calliope Projects also known as Calio Projects which is located in the 3 Ward. Swizz Beatz, Curren$y and Mia X made a cameo in visual. GFID arrives this Tuesday (July 31).

Don Bleek’s Recap: Juvenile Set The Stage On Fire For His 1st NYC Show In 8 Years

This past Thursday (April 18), former Hotboys/Cash Money rapper Juvenile performed in NYC for his first time in eight years and I (Don Bleek) was there to witness his comeback NYC performance. The platinum-selling rapper set the stage on fire for a large group of screaming fans, ranging from late teens to adults. The rallied New Yorkers held down the New Orleans native and rapped along with him, throughout his entire set, which lasted almost an hour.

Around midnight, Juve came running on stage wearing a Polo shirt, vest and True Religion jeans. He opened up his set by performing some of his classics from his Cash Money days including “Set It Off,” “Slow Motion,” and “Back That Azz Up” before jumping into his new tracks “Mardi Gras,” “They Sleeping On Me” and “Power” (minus Rick Ross) off his forthcoming LP, entitled Rejuvenation, which is schedule to hit stores and iTunes on June 19th.

Juve proved that he can hold down a big city like New York, without having any special guests. The event was hosted by New York’s Power 105.1 DJ, DJ Envy. Juve ended his performance by performing the record that got him started, “Ha”.

Late Thurday afternoon, Juve dropped his new 8-track mixtape, Nino The Magnificent, in conjunction with AllHipHop, hosted by DJ Bigga Rankin. Download it is below:
