Westbrook is serious about pursuing his fashion and modeling dreams. Last month, he was featured in a spread for Vogue magazine’sNovember 2013 issue with CFDA 2013 Fashion Fund Finalist and accessory designer Jason Jones. I recently posted his feature in the November 2013 issue of GQ France magazine (see the original post here) and earlier in the year, he was featured inVogue Italia.
A few male celebs are loving fashion brand Christopher Kane! Kendrick Lamar, Amar’e Stoudemire, Ne-Yo & Russell Westbrook were spotted wearing the same pair of $420 Christopher Kane Creature sweatpants.
Back in June, Kendrick Lamar performed at the 2013 Governors Ball Music Festival at Randall’s Island in NYC. See the original post here! NBA player Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder continues to style in these fashion publications. Last week, I posted his feature in the November 2013 issue of GQ France magazine (see the original post here) and earlier in the year, he was featured inVogue Italia. Now the self-proclaimed fashion king is featured in a photo spread for Vogue magazineNovember 2013 issue with CFDA 2013 Fashion Fund Finalist and accessory designer Jason Jones.
In the fashion spread, Westbrook models a gold belt with the matching Medicine Man Pumpkin Dufflefrom Jones Parabellum collection. Below is an excerpt:
Having essentially grown up in his father’s antiques store in L.A., accessories designer Jason Jones, 42 (shown here, right, with Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook), learned early on the values of a kind of burnished quality. Parabellum, started seven years ago with business partner Mike Feldman, is Jones’s endeavor to reclaim that standard. His bags and leather goods are all cut from the sturdy hides of American bison, with each characterized by a deeply individual texture (many of Jones’s favorites feature scarred-over gore wounds) and layered with five or six different shades of dye. Fastenings and buckles are molded in technical ceramic developed by NASA, adding a futuristic component to otherwise old-school techniques. “American craftsmanship is artisanal, but in a hammer-and-nails sort of way; it’s crude,” says Jones, who is of Japanese and Hopi Indian descent. “We wanted to bring a Bottega level of quality.”
NBA player Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder is slaying these fashion shows and publications.Earlier in the year,Westbrook was featured inVogue Italia. Back in September, I posted photos of him alongside Vogue’sEIC Anna Wintour at the Rag & Bone’s Spring 2014 Show. See the original post here. After seeing the twosome sitting together, some fashion bloggers including myself reported that Westbrook is in the process of being featured in the pages of the US Vogue. I am still sticking to what I reported.
In the past, New York Knicks player Amar’e Stoudemire sat front row with Anna Wintour at the Tommy Hilfiger Spring 2011 Show, and a year later, he appeared in a Voguespread with European E-A-L (Editor A Large), Hamish Bowles. Carmelo Anthony also appeared in Voguewith his wife Lala and their son Kiyan.
Now the fashionable NBA player (Russell Westbrook) is featured in the November issue of GQ France magazine. Below are some excerpts:
“This is the only basketball player in the world who is also feared on the field and in the locker room. With its bold and sharp outfits, the playmaker of the Oklahoma City Thunder indeed reign supreme at the press conference after the match. At a time when any American professional player is accompanied by a stylist who chooses his clothes mat, Russell was noted for the safety of its taste, without the help of any professional. Red rimless glasses, floral blouses, closed to the last button, ties, pants pink polo, it dares all and do not crash. The point of being a regular guest at the forefront of the Fashion Week in New York by the Empress of Vogue, Anna Wintour“.
“On the ground as on the asphalt, the elegance of gesture goes with flawless attire. The NBA star Russell West control perfectly the rules of the game, showing off the most beautiful sweaters of the season. Demonstration“.

NBA player Russell Westbrook (the“NBA Fashion King”) made another fashion statement at last night’s Rag & Bone’s Spring 2014 Show. He sat front row with Vogue’sEIC Anna Wintour. Does this means that he is in the process of being featured in the pages of US Vogue? Earlier in the year,Westbrook was featured inVogue Italia.

Honestly, if Westbrook is closer to being featured in the pages of US Vogue this would be a great look. He’s very fashionable in his own way. He has a style that I never saw before. I would describe his style as street blended with a boardroom meeting style. At last night’s presentation, Westbrook wore a black leather vest layered over a blue buttoned down shirt with fitted trouser pants rolled up at the ankle and black boots.
Last night Sunday (August 11), the 2013 Teen Choice Awards was held at the Gibson Amphitheatre and NBA player Russell Westbrook of the OKC Thunder also known as the self-proclaimed “NBA Fashion King” made a fashion statement by wearing a custom Asian-inspired ensemble by ALBA Legacy. Fashion is all about taking risks and Westbrook sure did take a risk when he walked the blue carpet in this look. He ablaze social sites including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram when people noticed his outfit. Fellas, would you ever wear Westbrook’s ensemble? Ladies, do you like this look and would you allow your man to wear it?
ALBA stands for “A Light Beyond Appearance” and was founded 21-years ago by Jhoanna Alba. The company designs chic custom suiting for pro athletes. NBA players including Magic Johnson, Dwight Howard and of course Russell Westbrook are some of ALBA’s clients.
NBA player Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder uploaded a new picture to his Instagram account. The three-time All-Star point guard styled in a $54 Urban Outfitters ‘Lazy Oaf Pattern Sleeve Crew Sweatshirt’ paired with denim jeans and red sneakers. His outfit was accessorized with sunglasses and an YSL logo belt. This sweater is pretty cool. I like the vibrant raglan pattern sleeves. This is a dope piece to wear in the Spring. You can purchase this sweater at Urban Outfitters.
NBA players Russell Westbrook who currently plays for the Oklahoma City Thunder gets stylish in designers for Paper magazine. The three-time All-Star point guard styled in a Gucci jacket and Lacoste pants which he accessorized with a Hermes belt, Oliver People glasses and a Rolex watch. Westbrook has an obsession with high-end fashion and he is often spotted sitting front row at New York Fashion Week. Over the past few months, I realized that Westbrook is very flamboyant with all his bright colors, prints and patterns. Below are some excerpts:
“Russell Westbrook is an aggressive player on the court. The starting point guard for the Oklahoma City Thunder is known for hitting acrobatic layups and unblockable pull-up jump shots. But Westbrook made his riskiest play last year at a postgame press conference, where he wore a pair of fire-truck red full frames and a Lacoste shirt covered in antique fishing lures. Never mind that the young Thunder team had just demolished the Lakers — where’d he get that shirt?“
“Westbrook’s love of patterns goes back to childhood–he remembers posing for a middle school portrait in a Platinum FUBU shirt with an all-over Fat Albert print. Though he visits the malls in Oklahoma City, he mostly trolls websites for ideas. ‘Online shopping is the best thing that’s ever happened to me.‘”
