Memphitz Sues K. Michelle, Mona Scott-Young & VH1 After Being EXPOSED As A WOMAN BEATER

No need to get into much detail, if you watched the first season of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, you are most likely to be aware of the situation about singer K. Michelle. She mentioned that she was repeatedly abused by her ex-boyfriend who was her label CEO and an A&R at Jive (RCA). Throughout the show, K. Michelle stuck by her story and to be honest with you, I believe her. But like some females, K. Michelle did not file charges because she wanted to protect her image and was so in love with the man who was abusing her. K. Michelle NEVER identified the man or gave any clues to who he was on the show. When the blogs reported that it was Memphitz who his currently married to Lil Wayne’s ex-wife and daughter’s mother Toya, things went from bad to worse. I guess, Memphitz felt guilty and couldn’t take the pressure anymore. Not only did Memphitz allegedly abuse K. Michelle, he also spent up all of her money, left her broke and almost ruined her music career. With a lot of threatening texts and emails from Memphitz, K. Michelle was able to get out of her contract without owning Jive anything. K. Michelle did say Memphitz name in interviews and answered questions about him when she was asked. They also got into a heated argument via social networking Twitter.

Now that the season is over and the reunion has wrapped, Memphitz struggling image has been tainted. He has filed a multimillion dollar lawsuit against Viacom International, NFGTC Inc, K. Michelle and Mona Scott Young’s Monami Entertainment. He is claiming that K. Michelle’s accusations of domestic violence are fabricated and the show gave her a “worldwide platform” for her to “assassinate his character”. This guy must have fallen and bumped his head! He is asking for $1 per viewer (3-4 million viewers) per episode that his character has been defamed, which totals 12 episodes and the two reunions shows.

Lil Kim’s Publicist Confirms To Don Bleek That The Queen Bee’s Episode For VH1’s Behind The Music Is In The Works

Lil Kim’s publicist CJ (@CJHateItOrLuvIt) just confirmed to Don Bleek via Twitter that the multi-platinum selling recording artist has an episode for VH1′s ‘Behind The Music’ in the works. Lil Kim recently wrapped up her ‘Return of the Queen’ tour. I attended the show in the Bronx at the Paradise Theater with Missy Elliott, Eve and Juelz Santana. It was a great show; Kim rocked the crowd. Peep CJ and Don Bleek’s tweets below:

Back in May, Lil Kim stopped by Chicago’s Power 92 to chat with Tone Kapone (Hot Boys Radio). During her interview, Kim hinted that she might do a bigger tour with Missy Elliott and Eve. Kim’s new single “Look Like Money” which was produced by Rockwilder should be out soon. Kim also has a book, entitled The Price of Loyalty in the works. The book will be release via Saint Martin Press and will be solely based on her stay in prison.

Hopefully, we get a new Kim album this year.

T.I.’s Wife & Ride Or Die Woman Tameka Announces Her New Show ‘Tiny Tonight’ Is Coming To VH1

By now, Tameka ‘Tiny’ Harris is used to being in front of the cameras. In September the second season of T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle premieres. Tiny is also gearing up for the release of her late night talk show, Tiny Tonight. The show will focus on Tiny and a few of her girlfriends discussing the latest entertainment news. T.I. and Tiny stopped by VH1‘s ‘The Morning Buzz’ earlier today Thursday (August 16). While on air, Tiny chatted about her late night show:

I’m very excited about that. I’ve been wanting to do a late night talk show with my homegirls — my friends — for a while now. So I have my new show, it’s called ‘Tiny Tonight’ and it’s going to be a late night talk show, the first late night talk show on VH1. It’s just me and my homegirls and we’re talking about what’s going on in the world. It’s a younger, next generation of ‘The View’.

Watch the entire interview over at VH1.

Read Her Side Of The Story: LisaRaye Covers Jet Magazine & Speaks On Catfight With Stacey Dash

Successful Hollywood actress, business woman and former Premier of Turk & Caico’s LisaRaye McCoy is covering the latest issue of Jet Magazine. LisaRaye found time to take a break from filming season 2 of VH1‘s scripted show Single Ladies to chat with one of the oldest and most successful African-American publications. In the exclusive interview, LisaRaye talked about her cat fight with Stacey Dash and denied that she got her fired from the show. She also talked about her former friend, actor Duane Martin. Below are some excerpts:

On moving on without Stacey Dash who played her best friend on the show:

Believe me I wish things had worked out because I thought Stacey and I were great together.  She was my age and we were working it.  It was sex-symbol to sex-symbol.  But she didn’t want to be there.  I was disappointed about that.  She had some issues.  I’m not sure exactly what those issues were.  In the end, she and VH1 made a decision.

On the catfights that really went down on set

Yes, there was a disagreement over a scene.  And it really wasn’t with me.  It was with the director.  I think it was about 2 or 3AM and we’d been shooting all damn day.  Stacey tried to argue with the director about a line.  And I’m like: “Girl, if you don’t say what the director wants you to say.”  It wasn’t that serious at first, but it went there.

It’s a bunch of women on the set.  We might all be on our damn period at any given point.  I just wanted us to move forward.  Then the argument took on a life of its own.  The show decided to use it for publicity.  They just ran with it.

On which Hollywood friend she had to dump:

Duane Martin. I introduced him to my ex-husband [former Turks & Caicos Premier Michael Misick], he got buddy-buddy with him and then turned against me.   Just recently, this fool Duane up and sold a building he and I bought awhile ago in Los Angeles, without asking…I don’t care if we’re not friends, just don’t try to f**k me in the interim.

When I heard about him in the middle of Will & Jada’s divorce rumors, I tweeted: sounds familiar.  He really aint got enough business.

GOODBYE! Emily Will NOT Be Returning To ‘Love & Hip-Hop’

A couple of weeks ago, I reported that  there is another Love & Hip-Hop spin-off  based on the lives of Fabolous and his girlfriend/son’s mother Emily B and that Emily did not sign up for the third season. Earlier today Friday (April 27), Emily took to her official Twitter account @EmilyB and confirmed that she will indeed NOT be back for season three. “There will be a 3rd Season of #loveandhiphop NY but I will not be a cast member. The show was a great experience.. Thank you Mona & Stefan,” tweeted Emily. Minutes later she tweeted, “But…. You won’t miss me for long 😉 hmmm.. #Vh1.”

Most likely, VH1 green-lighted Emily and Fabolous’ reality show, which will probably debut late fall/early winter. Emily is also a celebrity stylist and fashion designer. Stay tuned to YDBR for the latest information on Emily and Fab.

Don Bleek Exclusive: “Love & Hip-Hop” Is Expanding To ATL & Diamond Will Be The Main Cast Member

According to industry insiders, Love & Hip-Hop executive producer, Mona Scott-Young has BIG plans for 2012. She will be taking her talents down to ATL and launching a spin-off to Love & Hip-Hop. I am hearing that Atlanta’s female rapper Diamond will be the main cast member. The show will be based in Atlanta, GA and is in the beginning stages of development. ATL femcee Rasheeda and Yung Joc’s former assistant Rici have all been “tapped on the shoulder” to sign on for the show, alongside Diamond. I am also hearing that the producers of the show want Diamond to be herself in front of the cameras, but her publicists would prefer to finesse things a little bit.

Stay tuned to YDBR for more details, story developing.

It’s Official: Stacey Dash Releases Statement On Why She Left VH1 ‘Single Ladies’

Popular Hollywood actress Stacey Dash had us all tuning into VH1’s Single Ladies this past Spring/Summer. Her stank walk and sexy voice made a lot of men flooded their Twitter accounts each time an episode premiered. After the end of a successful first season, there were rumors and speculations that Dash would not be returning to the Queen Latifah executive-produced show, which starred Val (Stacey Dash), Keisha (LisaRaye McCoy), and April (Charity Shea).

In an exclusive statement released to GlobalGrind.com, Stacey Dash confirmed her departure from VH1’s Single Ladies.

I truly enjoyed playing Val on ‘Single Ladies’, but I have decided to leave the show. I have to be back in L.A. with my children right now and the ‘Single Ladies’ shooting location makes that impossible. I wish VH1 the best of luck with the show and in maintaining the strong fan base we developed in season one.”

VH1 has also released a statement.

VH1 respects Stacey’s decision and her commitment to what she feels is best for her family. We thank her for all of her hard work in making ‘Single Ladies’ a success right out of the gate, and we wish her nothing but the best in her future plans.”
