I guess they’re back together for the time being! The twosome love life is becoming everybody’s business because Riri keeps posting pictures on her Instagram and Twitter accounts! In the latest edition of RiChis love affair, Riri posted a picture of herself in a sexual position kissing a shirtless Chris Brown on a black leather sofa. She also included the caption, “I don’t wanna leave! Killed it tonight baby!”

In other R&B news, singer Keyshia Cole’s NBA husband Daniel “Boobie” Gibson took his love for KC to another level by getting a tattoo of his wife’s face on his arm. They’re so in love! Congrats on everything KC and Boobie.

Chris Brown/Big Sean Covers XXL December 2012/January 2013 Issue

R&B singer Chris Brown and G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam rapper Big Sean nabbed the December 2012/January 2013 double issue of XXL Magazine. This is a special issue because it is Chris’ first major interview in almost two years. Chris also wrote the cover story himself and he reflected on his growth as an artist, moving past hardships in his life, recent altercations, his crazy love life and much more. Below are some quotes:

“In the beginning, I used to be hot. I’m normal. I’m human, so if anybody says something that’s a lie, I’m numb to it. I’ve smartened up.”

“A lot of people wanna know about the whole situation with me, Drake and Meek Mill. At the end of the day, I’m me, they’re them. They rap, I sing. Totally different caliber. I rap, I play around on mixtapes. But our words don’t collide as much as you’d think.”

“I haven’t been as mature and thought out in the past, so, me growing now, it’s showing my progression. I used to use my Twitter account to vent, but now I mostly use it for marketing and promotions. Even if the media asks me something, if it’s cool then it’s, ‘What’s up?’ But if it’s anything that’s too negative, I don’t care to respond.”

“One thing people often want me to talk about is my public love life. When it comes to my love life, the perception seems as though I am a player. But that’s not true. Love is something I am still learning. It’s just an obstacle that I haven’t yet mastered. I think that’s my biggest hurdle in life.”

 “I use music or painting as my outlet to get through the confusion. I try to promote positivity and love.”

On the other cover, Detroit native Big Sean talked about his upcoming sophomore album, Hall Of Fame, having the potential to change the world, how his city and experiences incorporated him into who he is today, and much more. Below are some quotes:

“It’s deeper than just comin’ up or making money. We got the potential and opportunities to change the world—and still have fun with it. It’s a responsibility that I feel like I’m willing to take.”

Soulful Artist Leah Labelle Gets All Glammed-Up In Some Cute Colorful Outfits For Pynk Magazine

Former American Idol contestant Leah Labelle gets all glammed-up in some cute colorful outfits for Pynk Magazine. Labelle was first introduced to a mainstream music audience during season three of American Idol. She was eventually cut from the show but that didn’t stop her from going after her dreams. She continued to send out virals as well as uploaded her music to YouTube, where she was discovered by music producer Pharrell Williams. He introduced her to Jermaine Dupri and the two are currently co-producing her upcoming project. Labelle also sang Teena Marie’s “Square Biz” at this year’s Soul Train Awards. She is featured in the new issue of Pynk Magazine. Inside, she talked about her biggest musical influence growing up, how she was discovered and why she chose a career in music. Below are some highlights:

On What Made Her Want to Sing R&B

My mom listened to a lot of jazz growing up, but once I got into the gospel part—being around the other girls in the choir, I think I became more aware of R&B and that’s where my heart was drawn. My heart didn’t beat as fast with other music, but when I heard R&B, it was something about it that made me feel a lot different. I live in my feelings.  So, I was happy to be able to connect in that way.

On Her Biggest Musical Influence
Lauryn Hill was my biggest influence. After I saw the movie [Sister Act II] and she came out with the Fugees and then ‘The Score’ [Fugee’s album]—I was still too young to have the album, but I snuck. My mom found it and took it and I still went and found another one somewhere but she was everything to me. When ‘The Miseducation [of Lauryn Hill]’ came out, I was highly inspired by everything she represented at the time when she was at her peak. Her lyrics, her melodies, her stories, her voice, her tone, her runs, everything about her—I studied her. I thought I was her at one point. She was really my inspiration in forming my sound.

On Linking Up With Pharrell & Jermain Dupri
I moved to LA five years ago, and I was just recording and doing what I had to do, trying to build my relationships and network, find people to give me studio time.  I started singing background for people and going on tour and in the midst of all that I wanted a change. So, I started making You Tube videos and met a friend who was in the industry at the time and said, ‘I started making these You Tube videos, you should, too.’ So I started making them for fun just to build my fan base and it caught Pharrell’s attention and he said he’d been watching for three years and eventually he said it’s the right time to reach out to her. He called JD and asked what did he think of this girl and JD was like, ‘oh yea, she’s awesome, she’s awesome.’  They connected and reached out to me and that’s how that happened
