Rick Ross & MMG Partied It Up At Sin City Strip Club For ‘Self Made Vol. 2’ Album Listening Event

Rick Ross and his MMG crew sure do know how to throw a party like bosses! Last night Wednesday (June 13), the bottles were popped, the smoke filled the air and the strippers worked the pole for their dollars at Sin City Cabaret in the Bronx, New York for the ‘Self Made Vol. 2 listening event’.

Maybach Music Group (Rick Ross, Wale, Meek Mill, Stalley, Omarion and affiliates Gunplay and French Montana) were joined by celebrities including Drake, DJ Khaled, Busta Rhymes, DJ Self, DJ SNS and Fred Da Godson. Music executives Joie Manda and Sean “Pecas” Costner, Warner Bros. Records Senior Director of Marketing Shari Bryant (she is the one who spearheaded this whole amazing event), Warner Bros. Records Urban Marketing Coordinator Brianna Harrison, Hip-Hop journalist/blogger Elliott Wilson and MTV’s writer Rob Markman also attended this industry event.

Upon my arrival around 8pm Meek Mill and Stalley arrived shortly after. The Bawse (Rick Ross) arrived with Gunplay and a large entourage around 9:30, followed by Drake and Busta Rhymes. The strip club was packed wall-to-wall with industry bloggers, journalists, DJ’s, reporters, and photographers as we sat and waited to hear some cuts from the album. Usually album listening sessions take place at hotels, studios or even the press room at a label but last night has officially made strip clubs the new thing to have an album listening session.

Around 11pm, Rick Ross took the mic to welcome the crowd, followed by him introducing “Power Circle” Ft. Rick Ross, Kendrick Lamar, Gunplay, Stalley, Wale and Meek Mill off Self Made Vol. 2.  From there, DJ Khaled took over hosting duties and introduced the rest of the tracks from the album including “All Birds” Ft. French Montana, “Actin “Up” Ft. Wale, Meek Mill and French, “Fountain Of Youth Ft. Nipsey Hu$$le, “ Bury Me A G” Ft. T.I. and “This Thing Of Ours” Ft. Nas.

The strippers continued to dance for their dollars as cuts from the album were played in the background. This time around, the album features a lot more collaborations with artists outside of MMG. Self Made Vol. 2 arrives June 26.

Passion For Fashion: Usher Wearing $1,160 Balmain Waxed Jeans

R&B singer Usher was spotted across the pond in London to promote his new album, entitled Looking 4 Myself. According to HitsDailyDouble, the disc is projected to move around 130k in the first week. While visiting BBC Radio 1, Usher was wearing a pair of Balmain waxed panelled jeans. He completed his outfit with a denim vest, black tee-shirt and a pair of Diet Butcher Skin Zebra print sneakers from the Fall/Winter 2011 collection. These pants are available for $1,160 over at Mr. Porter’s online shop. According to the site, “The waxed fabric has a heavily worn appearance that will only improve with use. Detailed with an extra set of pockets at the waist and cut for a super slim fit, they have irresistible downtown attitude.” Usher outfit was pretty cool, it’s something I will wear.

I’m currently obsessed with these Christian Louboutin Louis Satin Leopard sneakers which are the newest version of their Louis sneaker. This shoe features leopard on the sides, a gold toe cap, silver on the back, black patent leather trim, and a white sole. These sneakers are dope! I would wear them with these black waxed Balmain jeans and a gold or brown V-Neck Tee-Shirt from H&M. Do you like these sneakers and how would you wear them?

Salute To The REAL: 2 Chainz Covers FADER

Def Jam rapper 2 Chainz is covering the 80th issue of FADER magazine. On the cover, he is shirtless in a green army hat and wearing a lot of jewelry. Below are some excerpts and pictures from FADER:

“Tauheed Epps casts quite a shadow. Standing at six-foot-five, he walks in a lumbering gait. His dreadlocks hang to his shoulder blades, his cargo jean shorts are frayed at the bottom, with clusters of unnecessary accessories—multiple wallet chains, a large, 
purple landline handset that plugs into his cell phone—dangling from his pockets. His purple sneakers match the phone. Large black Stevie Wonder-style frames, hinged with golden medallions, serve to protect his light sensitive eyes. “Some oily eye condition bullshit,” he explains. They make it considerably difficult to interpret his permanently soft-spoken deadpan. He’s a rapper, but not the type of rapper that fans are quick to run up on. Instead they tend to operate in stolen glances and whispers: Is that 2 Chainz?!”

“On this particularly warm afternoon in early April, Epps, much better known as the rapper 2 Chainz, is headed back to his “castle,” as he proudly calls his home about 30 minutes south of Atlanta, for the first time in a while. The house is not quite medieval in its scope but it is enormous, exactly the sort of boilerplate McMansion that one would expect to find in the middle of post-rural Georgia. The bricks are pristine, the ceilings intimidatingly high. Immense columns adorn the front door and an ornate white piano sits behind it. It’s the type of home that could’ve been plucked directly out of a reality TV show about overly-entitled housewives. Still, it sits on 22 beautifully woodsy acres. (When I ask 2 Chainz if he enjoys nature, he responds dryly: “I like killing shit.”) He bought the house in November, right after he signed his solo deal with Def Jam, and has been on the road in intermittent weeklong shifts ever since, leaving little time to enjoy the property—he seems like a visitor in his own home. Upon his arrival, he almost pulls into a neighboring driveway.”

Styling On Them Lames: Chris Brown Wearing A Supreme Olive Hawaii Shirt & Air Jordan1 “Retro”

Before Chris Brown caught a beat down by Drake and his goonies, he was spotted at the Dum English Exhibition at Toy Tokyo in New York City. For the occasion, Breezy rocked a $110 Supreme Olive Hawaiian shirt under a red jacket, pants with a scarf hanging out of his right pockets and Nike Air Jordan’s 1 “Retro”. The shirt that Breezy was wearing boasts a Hawaiian inspired look.

In July, Breezy will be releasing his forthcoming LP, entitled, Fortune. The disc has appearances from Wiz Khalifa Big Sean, Nas and more.

Performing Live In Los Angeles: Lil Kim, Da Brat, & Lady Of Rage Performs At Key Club

The Queen Bee (Lil Kim) recently stopped in Los Angeles for her ‘Return of the Queen’ tour. She performed at Club Key for a packed crowd, performing some of her biggest hits from her Hard Core CD to Black Friday mixtape. Kim surprised the crowd by bringing out Da Brat for “Not Tonight (Ladies Night Remix)” and her own single “What Chu Like”, while The Lady of Rage rocked with her “Afro Puffs”. VH1‘s Somaya Reece of Love & Hip-Hop was also in attendance and she dropped some bars.Peep the footage below:

Girl You Summetime Fine: Kelly Rowland Looking Sexy On The Set “Summer Dreaming”

R&B singer Kelly Rowland recently begin filming the official visual to her new single “Summer Dreaming” in Barcelona. The song is off her latest album Here I Am. The disc debuted on the Billboard 200 at number three and number one on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. In the visual, Kelly was looking summertime fine in a nice looking colorful dress from Maria Grachvogel 2005 Classic Couture collection. She also rocked a Roberto Cavalli top, daisy dukes and Prada shades. Any thoughts on her look?

He Took A Blow To The Chin: Chris Brown Injured By Drake & His Goonies

Lat night Wednesday (June 13), I attended the “MMG Self Made Vol. 2 Listening Event” at Sin City in NYC. Rick Ross, Wale, Meek Mill, Stalley, French Montana, Maybach O, Teyana Taylor, Nas, Ace Hood, DJ Khaled and more were in attendance (recap coming soon). After the party was over, everybody went over to the Greenhouse for Teyana Taylor’s G.O.O.D. Music signing party and her good friend Chris Brown was there. Maybe inviting Breezy was the wrong thing to do because he is currently beefing with Meek Mill and Drake who was also in attendance.

Somehow words were exchanged between Drake and Chris Brown and it led to bottles being thrown, people fighting and Breezy taking a blow to the chin. At least five people including Chris Brown was injured. Breezy took to his Twitter and reached to the situation. Read below:

Maybach Music Group rapper Meek Mill who’s been thrown in the middle of all this craziness also took to his Twitter and tweeted:

“It wasn’t me…. (shaggy voice) lol”

Followed by a tweetgram he posted on instagram that said,

“That p–sy must be goooooooooooood lol”

Styling On Them Hoes: Rihanna Wearing $895 Christian Louboutin Havana Woman Trash Oxfords Shoe & Carrying A Celine Bag

Yesterday, Wednesday (June 13), pop singer Rihanna was spotted dining at Da Silvano restaurant in NYC (located on 260 6th Ave in Manhattan). I enjoy eating at Da Silvano with my friends. Their Spaghetti Puttanesca is the best. The songstress was styling on them hoes in Christian Louboutin Havana Woman Trash  shoes which are available over at Barneys for $895. This shoe is part of Louboutin’s 20th Anniversary Capsule collection. She paired her shoes with a red top and pants. To bring out her outfit, Ri Ri carried a black Celine Nano bag and wore black sunglasses.
