Dazed & Confused releases its August 2013 ‘93 Til Infinity‘ issue and Harlem-breed rapper Dominic Lord is featured in the publication. Chance The Rapper is on the cover. This issue is dedicated to 1993. But at its core, it’s about the future. For this issue, the British style magazine wanted to shine a spotlight on a selection of emerging music artists, photographers, models and actors born in 1993 from London to New York. Below are some excerpts:

As they turn 20, that pivotal moment in time when all those teen dreams need to start becoming a reality, we look at how they are redefining pop culture on their own terms, from London to New York. As Howes, a rising producer, puts it in our “20/20 Visions” portfolio: “Twenty is a weird age because you’re too old to call yourself a kid, but not old enough to really have your shit together. That’s a really good thing though. It makes you feel quite invincible.”

Without harnessing the power of the web, Chance The Rapper wouldn’t be staring at you from our cover. In just one day, his mixtape Acid Rap was downloaded 50,000 times. Twenty years ago, that kind of exposure was reserved for artists with a major-label deal and a hefty PR budget. Chance is still willingly unsigned. He’s in no hurry to change the situation.
