After months of rumors and speculations, Southern rapper Shawty Lo signed a deal with 50 Cent’s G-Unit Records. “My new situation with G-Unit was just solidified and I got off the phone with 50 yesterday, I just signed a really large deal.” Shawty Lo told AllHipHop.Com
Also, Shawty Lo just released his new mixtape Bankhead Forever (B.H.F.), hosted by DJ Greg Street. In a statement to AllHipHop.com, Shawty Lo said, “This is a special project for me. I worked real hard on making this one of the best mixtapes I’ve put out to date.” The mixtape has features with 50 Cent, Jim Jones, Wale, Snoop Dogg, Roscoe Dash and more; with production from Drumma Boy, Zaytoven, Merci and B-Trill.
In 2008, the Atlanta native rose to fame with his chart topping hits “Dey Know,” “Foolish” and “Dunn Dunn,” off his debut album Units In The City. Lo is working on his sophomore album, titled Still Got Units.
