Dope or Nope? Drake “Marvins Room”

YMCMB recording artist Drake returns to his R&B roots on his new track “Marvins Room.” Drake’s producer  Noah “40” Shebib produced the record. This is not Drake’s official album single; it’s just a warm-up record. Dreezy’s  recently announced that his sophomore LP Take Care; will hit stores and online October 24. The official single will be out in July. On this track, Dreezy makes a drunken late night call to an ex-girlfriend in an attempt to get her to leave her man.

But I’’ve been drinking so much
That I’ma call her anyway and say
F**k that n*gga that you love so bad
I know you still think about the times we had”
I say “f**k that n*gga that you think you found
And since you picked up I know he’’s not around”
(Are you drunk right now?)

Dope or Nope; are you guys feeling Dreezy’s new track?

Juelz Santana Is Still Signed To Def Jam; Publicist Confirms & A Video For “848” Is In The Works

Despite the rumors, Harlem’s rapper Juelz Santana is still signed to Def Jam Records. Earlier today, rumors begin circulating that Elz was “no longer with Def Jam.” I spoke exclusively to Elz publicist Lynn Hobson and she confirmed that he is indeed still signed to the label. In fact, they are communicating with Label Rep, Sha Money about Elz’s next project. Elz recently released a new track , titled “848″ Ft. Jim Jones and Waka Flocka. The video for “848″ will be shot within the next few weeks. Elz is getting ready to flood the streets with new music; until he drops his forthcoming album Born To Lose, Built To Win. As of press, the album does not have a release date.

Cassie’s Fashion Spread Featured In Nylon Magazine

Model/Singer Cassie is making her way back into the limelight. For the second time in one month, Cassie has a fashion spread featured in a major magazine. Yesterday, I posted Cassie’s fashion spread in Vibe magazine. Today, images of Cassie’s Fashion spread featured in this month’s issue of  Nylon Magazine was released. Inside, she talks her new album, whether she sees herself as a model or musician, and why she cut her hair. Cassie is cute as a button and I will like to see at the top. Much success to Cassie in all her future endeavors.

Tell us about your new album

It’s a cool blend of pop, hip-hop, and ska. It’s urban Gwen Stefani meets Aaliyah. I hate referencing people but if you had to compare, that’s it.

What’s your favorite track on the new album?

“Lonely Disco Ball,” which is about the end of the night when the party is done and everybody has left.

Behind The Scenes: Rick Ross Photoshoot With GQ Magazine. This Is Major, “He’s The Biggie Of The South”

Rapper Rick Ross did a photo shoot for the upcoming issue of GQ magazine Gentleman’s Quartley. Ross was looking all “dap and don” during his shoot. This guy has come a long way. In my opinion, “Ross is the Biggie of the South.” Peep the video below:

In my opinion, Ross is becoming one of the best rappers to ever come out of Miami. What he’s doing for Hip-Hop is unbelievable. Over the years, he proved that rappers from the South are lyrical emcee’s. He sold gold and platinum albums, tour around the world, sold out arenas across the country, has been featured in some of the most respected music publications and collaborated with some of the greatest rappers; such as Jay-Z, Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Mobb Deep. Also, Ross recently launched his own record label, titled Maybach Music Group.

Flo Rida Caught A DUI Charge For Riding Dirty In A $1.7 Mill Bugatti [With Mug Shot]

Rapper Flo Rida was popped for DUI when he was caught swerving in and out of lanes in a $1.7 million Bugatti; in Miami. The police pulled the “Low” rapper over around 3:30 AM this morning Thursday (June 9). According to TMZ.com, “During the stop, cops detected the odor of alcohol — so Flo was given a field sobriety test … and didn’t perform very well. Cops say Flo’s blood alcohol level was .185 … more than twice the legal limit.” Below is an update from TMZ.

UPDATE: According to the police report, obtained by TMZ, cops say a large crowd gathered around Flo after cops had pulled him over.

Several bystanders were “trying to get officers to let [Flo Rida] go. Some individuals were offering to drive [Flo] home.”

When the officer tried to conduct a “walk the line” test — Flo told the cop, “Officer I can’t do this. I don’t feel I can’t walk a straight line. I had a few drinks. Let’s try another test.”

Flo then tried to convince the officer, “I can make it home.” Cops didn’t let him try.

Cops say they ran a computer check on Flo — and cited the rapper when they learned his driver’s license had been suspended last month for failing to pay a traffic fine.
