Kanye West Brings Sand To The Beach: The Talented Rapper Performs At The Revel Resort In Atlantic City

Over this weekend, I went back home (South Jersey) to attend Kanye West’s concert at the new Revel Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey. This was my first time going to A.C. this summer. As a child, my family and I always took trips to A.C., especially during the hot summer days. Swimming in the beach and relaxing on the sand are two of my favorite summer hobbies. This was the first time Kanye headlined his own solo show in over a year.  Kanye recently wrapped up his ‘Watch The Throne’ tour with Jay-Z. This past Memorial Day weekend, Beyoncé also performed at the Revel Resort for their grand opening.

Kanye opened-up his set with “Dark Fantasy” which featured a live band, ballerinas and a large crane. He was dressed in red jeans, a leather jacket and a white tee-shirt paired with his red Louis Vuitton Don sneakers. The only guest to grace the stage with Kanye was Pusha T. He helped Kanye perform their chart topping single “Runway”. Kanye also covered Phil Collins “In The Air Tonight” and performed some of his biggest hits including “Lost In The World,” “Stronger”, “Way Too Cold” and his verse to “Mercy” during his set. Kanye changed outfits one time throughout his two-hour set. He also wore a white button down shirt over a white tee-shirt, and blue jeans paired with blue sneaker. When you have a catalogue as long as Kanye’s you can rocked a sold-out crowd two nights in a row all by yourself.

Saturday (July 7), was the second and final show and just like the opening night, Kanye lived up to the hyped and pleased his fans once again. During his set, Kanye brought out Pusha T again, but this time it was for their latest single “New God Flow” which is featured on their collaborative album Cruel Summer which arrives August 7. Kanye’s girlfriend Kim Kardashian and NBA player Steve Nash were also in attendance, cheering on Yeezy from backstage. Peep the pictures below:

Philly’s own Cassidy popped out of nowhere and released his new mixtape, entitled Mayhem Music (Apply Pressure 3). The 22-track disc has collaborations with 50 Cent, Jadakiss, A.R. Ab, Fred Da Godson and more. In 2003, Cass rose to fame with the success of his first major single “Hotel” Ft. R. Kelly which reached the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100. Cass’ second major single “Get No Better” Ft. Mashonda helped his debut album, Split Personality go gold (selling over 500,000 copies). In 2010, Cass dropped his latest album, C.A.S.H. (Cash A Straight Huslta), the album basically flopped, only selling just over 5,000 copies in the first week. Now he is off his two-year hiatus and putting his focus back into music. Partying In New Orleans: Celebs Hit Up Kevin Hart’s Celebrity Birthday Bash

This weekend, some celebs flew down to New Orleans for the Essence Music Festival. A lot of after-parties took place throughout the star-studded event but the party of the weekend was Kevin Hart’s celebrity birthday bash which took place at the Saint Hotel. LisaRaye, Denzel Washington, Tisha Campbell, Trey Songz, Eva Marcille and Brandon T. Jackson partied it up with the funny comedian/actor. DJ D-Nice was on the 1’s and 2’s. Toya Wright, June Ambrose, Lahmann, Tamar Braxton, Hosea Chanchez, and Shqunie O’Neal were also in attendance. Peep the pics below:

Openair Frauenfeld Festival: Nas Brings Out Lauryn Hill In Switzerland [With Videos]

This weekend the Openair Frauenfeld Festival took place in Zurich, Switzerland. Queens rapper Nas hit the stage to perform some of his biggest hits such as “The World Is Your”, “I Can”, “Made You Look”, “Daughters”, “Got Yourself A Gun” and more. While performing in Western Europe, Nas brought out Lauryn Hill during his set to perform their 90’s collab “If I Ruled The World”. Before leaving the arena, L-Boogie also performed some of her chart topping hits including “Lost Ones” “Everything Is Everything”, “Fu-Gee-La”, “Ready Or Not”, “Killing Me Softly” and “Doo Woop (That Thing)”. Passion For Fashion: Teyana Taylor Rocking L.A. Gear Regulators “Knicks” With The Matching Snapback

G.O.O.D. Music’s artist Teyana Taylor was recently photo’d wearing a pair of L.A. Gear Regulators “Knicks” with the matching snapback cap. She paired her sneakers and cap with a grey tee-shirt and ripped black jeans. Earlier in the spring, Teyana released her free EP, The Miseducation Of Teyana Taylor. She is now signed to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music and is in the studio working on her debut album which is due later this year. I love her style and she is very talented. Do you like her outfit?
