New Music: DJ Khaled Ft. Rick Ross, Plies, Lil Wayne & T-Pain “Welcome To My Hood”

DJ Khaled and a few of his industry friends will like to welcome you to their hoods. On DJ Khaled’s new track, “Welcome To My Hood,” Ft. Rick Ross, Plies, Lil Wayne and T-Pain, each artists are taking you through the streets of their hood by rhyming about the streets life in Miami, Ft. Myers, Tallahassee and New Orleans. The track was produced by Renegades and Co-Producer by DJ Khaled. This record goes hard. I f**k with this ish. DJ Khaled never let the streets down. Each year he drops hit records. I like Plies verse the best and T-Pain went in on the hook. I believe this is the first official single off of DJ Khaled’s forthcoming LP We The Best Forever, dropping this summer via Cash Money/Young Money Records. Listen to the track below.

Toya Carter And Her Fiance Memphitz Covers S2S Magazine

Lil Wayne’s ex-wife/reality star Toya Carter and her fiance Memphitz covers the latest issue if Sister 2 Sister magazine. In the cover story Toya talks about Lil Wayne, Memphitz, and her new book. Read some excerpts from Toya’s interview below.

On Lil’ Wayne:

“Yeah, we’re really, really cool. Wayne actually did the foreword for my book. It’s like, him and MeMphHitz met and now everything is all good.”

On her fiance, MeMpHitz:

“Yes he’s like sexy chocolate. (laughter) I’m kidding. He’s a family guy and that’s what I love. Like, he was raised by both parents until his father passed away. He’s very well-mannered. He’s not selfish. He’s 100 percent supportive. He’s a good friend…everything I ever wanted in a man. You can tell it’s a difference when a guy grows up with both of their parents. Like, everything was ‘yes ma’am, yes sir.’ Respectful, like, ‘Let me open the door for you.’ These days, guys think that is lame when that’s really being a gentleman. He shows me and my daughter lots of respect. And you know, I love that about him. You don’t get that too much these days.”

Lil Kim Ft. I.R.S. “6 Foot 7” Remix

The Queen Bee is going hard with the new music. Last night DJ Funk Flex premiered Lil Kim’s new single “Clap Clap” Ft. I.R.S. and DJ Clue recently aired Lil Kim Ft. I.R.S. “6 foot 7” remix. Kim and her new group I.R.S. took a stab at Wayne and Cory Gunz’ “6 Foot 7” and added their Brooklyn switch to it. I think the song is okay and I like I.R.S. word play and punchlines. Listen to the track below.

Ok ok, I got the ball/ I’m coming down the court like Jordan with his tongue out/ Petite and all, I’m stepping on ya’ll like I’m 20 foot tall.” -Lil Kim
