Inside The Main Event: 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards Performances By Rick Ross, 50 Cent, Fat Joe, Diddy, Missy & More

As promised I am back with another recap and more pictures! Last night Saturday (September 29), the 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards was taped at The Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center. Comedian Mike Epps hosted this year’s event which was opened by Wiz Khalifa who brought out special guests Young Jeezy and Juicy J. Rick Ross and his MMG imprint were reppin their clique to the fullest. Ross performed as well as Meek Mill. After performing “Amen”, the Philly native brought out Kirko Bangz for their collaborative track “Young & Gettin It”. Diddy took the stage for an all-star line-up which included French Montana, Uncle Luke and Future. Machine Gun Kelly sure is a wild boy. He jumped down from rooftop! T.I., and 2 Chainz rocked solo sets while Missy Elliott, Busta Rhymes, Fat Joe and 50 Cent shared the same stage for a Chris Lighty tribute. Hip-Hop legend Rakim received the “I AM Hip-Hop” Award. The show will be televised next month Tuesday (October 9) at 8pm on BET. Check out the red carpet pics here!

Cole watched the show from Barclay’s Exclusive VIP D’USSE Riser, while familiar faces backstage included John Legend and his stunning fiancée Chrissy Teigen. Passion For Fashion: Meek Mill Wearing A $510 Givenchy Shark Cuban Fit Sweater

Last week, MMG rapper Meek Mill partied it up at Atlanta’s Bitmore Ballroom for Young Jeezy’s 34th birthday. For the event, Meek styled in a Givenchy Shark Cuban Fit Sweater which was designed by Riccardo Tisci and feature its signature shark print. This sweater is from the Fall 2012 collection and it is becoming popular among celebs. New York Knicks baller Amar’e Stoudemire had on this sweater while hanging out with rapper Shyne in Paris. Tyga also wore this sweater when he was in Los Angeles hanging out with his buddy Chris Brown. You can purchase this sweater at SSENSE for $510. Meek’s debut LP, Dreams & Nightmares arrives October 30.

Last night a lot of rappers, bloggers, DJ’s, and the Hip Hop community flew to the heart of the South (Atlanta) for the 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards which was taped at The Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center and will featured performances by 2 Chainz, T.I., Rick Ross and others. This year’s Mike Epps hosted show will also feature a tribute to the late great Chris Lighty (50 Cent, Fat Joe & Missy shared the same stage). The show will be televised next month Tuesday (October 9) at 8pm on BET. Meek Mill, Rick Ross,Wiz Khalifa, 2 Chainz, Diggy Simmons, Machine Gun Kelly, French Montana, Stalley, Kirkgo Bangz, Ace Hood, DJ Khaled, Future, Busta Rhymes and T.I. walked the red carpet to show their dope outfits and to do some press. Rick Ross kept it Hip Hop in a denim jacket, black tee-shirt and Air Jordan sneakers.

Wiz Khalifa sported a rock star inspired outfit. I like his Versace sunglasses!

2 Chainz walked the carpet with his daughter. He rocked a colorful jacket, Versace shirt and belt paired with black pants and Nike Air Yeezy 2. He accessorized his outfit with a MCM backpack and cap.

Diggy Simmons styled in a motorcycle jacket, blue shirt and light colored pants.
