Lala & Carmelo Anthony Spotted Dining At Cipriani Restaurant In NYC

Happily married couple Lala and Carmelo Anthony was spotted dining with Jacob the Jeweler at Manhattan’s Cipriani Restaurant over this past weekend. The twosome stopped and took pics with their fans. I love Lala’s and Mel’s outfits. They are both busy pursuing various projects. Lala is still filming for her reality show, Lala’s Full Court Life which is expected to premiere later this year or early 2013. Mel is preparing for the upcoming 2012/2013 NBA season. Don’t forget to check Melo on the cover of  SLAM Magazine’s November 2012 issue.

Damn She’s BAD! Cassie Covers Her SEXY Body In A LOT Of OIL In GQ Magazine’s October 2012 Issue

Damn Cassie is BAD! The Bad Boy recording artist got oiled-up in a bikini top and booty shorts in the October 2012 issue of GQ Magazine. Remember, Cassie started off as a model, so I’m sure this shoot wasn’t a problem for her. She worked those cameras. Her attitude in these pics is fiercest! Inside, she talks about being a laid back person, still feeling like a new artist, and her sophomore album. Below are some excerpts:

On her personality:

“I’m just a laid-back person. Maybe laid-back to a fault.”

On her long-delayed sophomore album:

“It’s been too long, I know, but I got to start over and over again.”

On being popular:

“It would be awesome to stay popular, but if I was only an underground artist, I would be okay with that.”

On how she feels as an artist:

“I feel like I’m a new artist.”

Grand Opening, Grand Closing: Lyor Cohen Stepping Down As Warner Music Chairman/CEO

After eight years with Warner Music Group, music executive Lyor Cohen is stepping down as Chairman/CEO on September 30. It is rumored that former EMI CEO Roger Faxon will take over as Chairman/CEO of Warner. Below are some excerpts from Billboard:

To all the artists and employees who live and die for the music every day, and who personally sacrifice for the good of the creative process: ‘keep on keepin’ on’ in the tradition of a company that respects and honors the artistic community,” said Cohen

Len Blavatnik, chairman and founder of Access Industries (they purchased Warner last year), said, “I personally want to thank Lyor for his dedication and contributions to Warner Music.  He has been both a business partner and personal friend and I wish him only the best.”

Stephen Cooper, WMG’s CEO, said, “Lyor Cohen has built something very special here.  While we understand his desire to move on to his next challenge, the enduring success of our recorded music division will serve as a great testament to the progress we’ve made during Lyor’s time at WMG.  We are grateful for Lyor’s contributions, and we wish him the best.  I’m confident that given the strength of our talented management team in Recorded Music, we’ll be able to drive further success.”

Lyor Cohen is good person and someone who I look up to in this industry. I last saw him back in May at the MMG Press Conference at the Eventi Hotel in Manhattan. Lyhor, I wish you the best of success in all of your future endeavors.-Don Bleek

Beyonce, Jay-Z, Swizz Beatz, Memphis Bleek, Steve Stoute & Baron Davis Sips D’usse At La Marina

Over this past weekend, Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Swizz Beatz and Memphis Bleek hit up Manhattan’s Hudson River Waterfront Lounge La Marina. They sipped on bottles/glasses of Jay-Z’s D’usse Cognac and gathered for a great warm NYC evening on the river deck as they laughed it up. Steven Stoute, Baron Davis and Hot 97‘s Ebro were also in attendance. Of course Beyoncé got all glammed-up in a Roberto Cavalli dress paired with Charlotte Olympia Dolly pumps. Jay kept it causal in a denim jacket over a white tee-shirt and khakis.
